original title: what kind of multiplayer do you think we’ll get in halo infinite?
do you think itll be a halo 5? a halo 3? sprint? no sprint? I’m curious in what yall have to say. also what kind of multiplayer do you personally want, that 343 might not/will probably not do?
I think we will most likely get a hybrid of Halo 1-3/Reach, and Halo 5. By that I mean movement will have sprint, but I doubt we will see a return of ground-pound, or clamber etc… We know equipment is coming back, so I think Halo 3 style will be there. No more req packs hopefully. I really would also love to see Halo have a massive battle mode, like in Battlefield and Star Wars Battlefront or Planetside 2 where there’s like 64v64 players on ENORMOUS Big Team Battle maps for Invasion or Slayer or Territories.
From what little game play we’ve seen so far, it seems like an amalgamation of every previous game. We have advanced movement and equipment existing in the same game. I’m not a fan of advanced movement, but perhaps a hybrid approach like we are seeing will make up for the pitfalls of advanced movement.
it’ll be classic halo multiplayer using everything we’ve seen in the trailer but with grapples classified as pickups
Judging by the demo I think it will feel more like H5 than the others which I’m good with. I think H5 HCS has the best mobility in all of Halo. I don’t think it’s going to be as in depth though, i.e. no thrusters, no stabilizers.
What I really want to know is what will become of the thrusters? The most fun aspect of 5 is using those in the heat of the moment to turn the tides of a fight…get a sick ninja assassination on someone who thought you’d be child’s play because they had overshield. Busting out an incredible strafe to survive a 2v1 where 1 player just took down your shields and you won that fight but his friend comes to get a clean up kill only to get destroyed by a 1 shot player.
Thrusters. You will he missed

Hoping more like Reach, but take out the armor abilities.
Also, Halo needs a Battle Royale!!!
A mix between 3, 4 and 5, imo. Sprint and spartan abilities will be in, and AA pickups and equipment will also be in.
