Halo Infinite as a live service model could work, but I feel that there isn’t enough story and content to keep me playing. With season two, I was looking forward to the story aspect of the multiplayer. But I don’t think it was enough with how good it was. I was hoping we’d see more media telling the story of infinite. As a comparison, apex legends puts out character trailers and story videos out every few months. While the story doesn’t progress too far, they give us lots of story related videos and comics on their Twitter to keep us interested. I believe Halo would benefit by having a full multiplayer story that rivals the campaign story. If there was more going on in the world of Halo, I would come back to this game constantly.
I think there will be more cutscenes and further into the story as the season progress through events, the content issue we are all aware of it, and hopefully 343 get a rhythm after season 2 ends
That would require a more stable workforce than what 343 currently has. Given how many openings they keep on advertising for, it would be safe to assume that they have a high turnover rate as many of the development staff that desired un-Halo 6 left when we actually got a Halo game instead of un-Halo 6.
I agree, with a three month szn a story event every month and a half would be swick.
I think that a multiplayer story/serial narrative is useless when the multiplayer continues to be spartan on spartan training exercises. It would make no sense to expand on that story.
I would really rather see campaign DLC than any multiplayer narrative stuff, it’s always so bad.
