What keeps you coming back?

What is it that keeps you coming back to Halo day after day?
Is it the need to max out?
(Are you/were you)a huge halo fan?
Is it the people you play with?
The game dynamics?

What is it that makes you turn on your Xbox and play this game specifically?

The smooth, addicting, competitive gameplay…

…also, the feeling you get when you pull off a sick play!

Same here me exactly.

Game is fun. It’s got a lot of possibility for sweet stuff happening.

Sometimes i ask myself the same question.

Halo 5 dispute how terrible it is, is addictive an I quit it… but halo 3 just keeps bringing me back with how perfect it was… even if only 350 people in the world still play it…

I’m taking a little bit of a break from Halo but I really enjoyed this game, especially the competitive side. Running with a team and trying to just get better and win every game never seemed to get boring. Many people on this website harshly criticize the gameplay but I found it very fun and addicting.

the amazing grind you would call the req system :). and the fact that i don’t own MCC anymore :frowning:

It’s fun.

For me? Forge & Custom Games

I don’t come back. I’m too busy playing other events better games. (My opinion)

After playing it, I fell in love with the gameplay. H5 is far from perfect but I think people are too critical of 343 and this game (I was, not too long ago b4 getting H5) and need to evolve.

Halo fan but as soon as titanfall 2 comes out I’m dropping halo5 cause it’s far too basic and unbalanced. What I liked about halo the most isn’t in halo 5. I liked the armour abilities and having set load out starts to choose from. The thruster was never my main aa plus the old one was better at evading. I liked to switch it up and use all kinds stopping it from getting dull. I just keep coming back to unlock stuff and never get any thing I wanted. I barely enjoy it.

I might not even get halo 6 and I’ve bought every halo on day 1 with exception to the 1st game. No other game has kept me as loyal but I’m thinking maybe it’s time to let my 1st love go she’s just not appealing as she once was to me.

probably its one of the best games on my shelf at the moment. That and it’s fun to play especially if you do customs with other people.

Achilles.

The game is perhaps the most balanced first person shooter that came out in recent years.

This is kind of my reason as well. I honestly don’t care about it, but my company already unlocked the armor and if I stay inactive for too long I’ll get kicked out and the idea of having the armor but not the helmet pisses me off.

I’m not saying I dislike Halo 5, but I’d rather play Reach.

I love that despite the title stating the thread is about what brings you BACK, it doesn’t stop some yoinks from taking an opportunity to mud sling the game anyway. Why are you even here?

I’m a bit of a completionist, so completing commendations and achievements keeps me coming back. Even though I know there are some i’ll never get. I’ve enjoyed about 90% of the online matches i’ve been in (win or lose). The game is balanced, every weapon has it’s use, and feel that sprint and spartan abilities offer alternative ways to play the game and do well. Unlike classic games that forced you to have to play one way.

it’s funny you say that, because titanfall, is probably the most balanced shooter that came out in recent years.

yes, equal starts, in thory mean balance, but, spartan charge is in fact overpowered, therefor knocking the balance out of whack. or how the pistol can out shoot the DMR? again, that is not balanced. titanfall only had 12 guns yes, but just like halo, if not better then halo, each on served it’s purpose and nothing felt too strong at all. halo comes close, but falls short in my eyes of the title of most balanced

Spartan charge is not unbalanced. Everyone can utilize it and if you do it wrong it leaves you vulnerable.
The only way a pistol beats a DMR is when the one holding the DMR is a worse shot than the pistol. So that’s part of that ‘skill gap’ that everyone around here claims to cherish.
I’ve never played Titanfall, so I can’t argue on balance as a comparison.

The people that I play with. That’s the only reason anymore.
