Just finished the campaign and would like a recap of what is going on.

I’ve played all the games but am quite unsure of what is going on.

Here is what I think I know.

Forerunners are a superior race of people who control/created the universe…? (Who are the forerunners?)

Halo rings are weapons (used to kill the flood?)

Covenant worship the Forerunners.

I’m confused, obviously. Is there a website or video that explains Halo 4’s story? I’ve watched the 5 minute IGN video about what happened in previous Halos a couple times and am still confused.

I really enjoyed the campaign but I would like to really know what is going on.
Any help would be appreciated.

SPOILERS

Forerunners are an old racce that was created by the precursors. Forerunners were mostly destroyed by flood.

Halos are weapons that were created by the forerunners to be used against flood if fired simultanieously they would destroy all life in galaxy so flood couldnt spread to other galaxies.

Only the storm covenant that broke out of the covenant worship the forerunners I think.
