When watching HWC, I’ve noticed that most players won’t waste time ground pounding or shoulder bashing. Why is this?
I cant speak for the pros, but both of those abilities leave you wide open to be team-shot and taken out quickly. Ground pound puts you in the air not moving. Shoulder bashing leaves you open for a bit after you bash.
Its more efficient to just melee and retain your ability to move.
They are gimmicks, I never shoulder charge unless its an accident. Ground pound is more useful.
Spartan charging is almost always not the best idea in the situation. Mainly because sprinting across the map isn’t something skilled players do. Sprint should not be your go-to travel method. You are far too exposed while sprinting. Also, ground pound and spartan charge are fairly easy to dodge, so it’s a waste of time. You’re better off shooting them.
Well like I’ve argued with many people vs those AA, they have no effect(positive effect anyways, and they’re risky) in a real competitive game, which should’nt bother most people. So it’s always funny seeing how adding AA is “killing halo” when 1. They’re optional 2. You’re not going to win your average halo game with them, and 3. They don’t necessarily hurt the game, they’re uneccedsaryunecessary add ons, but don’t hurt the game.
In in short tho, pros won’t use it because of added risk if they were to use them.
its just too risking and puts you in a and situation most of the time.

Except shoulder charging around a corner without even knowing someone is there…
it is risky, but it’s super fun in swat

Yeah haha
I seen them use both in HCS. It’s often used when they caught the enemy off guard and don’t have a shotgun.
