Pretty much what the title says. What is your proudest Halo achievement(s), and why?
Mine was completing the Vidmaster Challenge achievements - specifically the Annual achievement - back in the day with my original (and sadly lost) gamertag. Mostly because I completed it with 3 of my buds at the time and going through a hangar with 4 ghosts will never not be badass.
Mine was overkill on halo 3. I tried boosting it, tried it legit and couldn’t get it. Found out Bungie had a special living dead playlist on halloween which was a ranked FFA infection game mode. The pit came up and I grabbed a turret and waited for the zombies to pour in. Almost messed it up but when the achievement popped I was so excited I finally got it that I died and didn’t try to keep the multi kill going. Only two other achievements had me that excited but they are not halo specific.

I was pretty happy when I finished Reachs campaign on Heroic. I don’t usually go above Normal and never bother with Legendary solo.
It was pretty significant to me mostly because I hold zero value in multiplayer wins and stuff. They dont bring me satisfaction whatsoever anymore.
Mongoose Mowdown will always be my proudest. I still remember what map and where on the map it was. It was on Highground, just outside main gate. I hopped on the Mongoose and splattered an unsuspecting Spartan just outside the gate. I didn’t care about winning the match. My victory was getting the achievement and the Scout shoulders.
Honestly my proudest individual achievement so far has been acquiring the Scarab Lord achievement in H2. I watched a how-to video on it that claimed it would take hours to get the timing just right to make the achievement work… and I managed it in maybe 15 minutes. That’s not to brag, it’s just that I got super lucky. It was a frustrating 15 minutes lol.
The achievement was further elevated by getting the soccer ball achievement immediately afterwards… and utterly blasting away at enemies with a scarab gun lol. makes the final stretch of the level ridiculously easy.
I will go for the achievement called Monopolized which involves completing Halo 2 (MCC) in Legendary in less than 3 hours. It took a while to learn the basic strategies which where needed to obtain this achievement but it was definitely worth the time.
Double Spartan Laser kill - on halo 3 - must have been over 10 years ago now. It was the last to complete 100%. Took me three solid days to get. I think I cried.
Recently did CE on LASO, and 4 missions left on H2 so I might have to to back when I have “LASO Master”.
I guess another would be all the campaigns on Legendary under 3 hours mostly the “Monopolized” achievment.
I only have the MP achevments and Co-Op achievments left pretty much so if you are an achievment hunter add me if you wanna go for “annual” and coastal highway on legendary, without vehicles plus Iron skull, at some point in the future
My proudest Halo achievement is definitely completing all of the MCC 3 Hour Legendary Speedrunning Achievements for each Halo game. Halo 2, more specifically, as that is easily the hardest speedrun and I managed to do it solo. The other games, however, I completed with friends as I had already proved to myself I could do them solo considering I completed the hardest one by myself. Some of which only took one playthrough and only a couple of re-dos. Halo: Reach, when it first released on MCC, I played through solo on legendary in about 4.5 hours. ODST and 4 were the same. The other games’ speedrunning achievements were definitely more challenging but nowhere near as bad as Halo 2. I proudly boast the Platinum Halo 2 Nameplate. I wish it looked as cool as Reach’s 3 Hour nameplate, though.
For anyone else who wants to complete these achievements, you should view guides made by Nak3d Eli on YouTube. Without those guides, I would not have completed most of the games’ speedrunning achievements (mainly Halo 2’s). Don’t get me wrong, though, even with these guides, the speedruns will still take tons of practice, trial-and-error, and even some luck. With enough dedication and skill, however, they can be completed. Good luck to anyone who wishes to give these achievements a shot!

I do complete agree on your point that the Halo 2 speedrunning achievement is the hardest. I used a combination of Nak3d Eli’s and Halo Completionist’s 3 hours guides to obtain the achievement. However, none of the missions where too bad with enough practice.
Due to having this achievement in my list, my current goal for Halo 2 is to become good at sword flying which is probably an even bigger feat than completing Halo 2 within 3 hours.
Gotta be earning the LASO Master achievement solo during lockdown this year!
On a quest to earn every MCC achievement with only one remaining. The final one is for completing The Master Chief Saga, but I’m waiting for the Halo 4 PC release so I can record it as a bit of a sentimental send off to the series.
By far the most exhausting achievement in the game was completing every Spartan Ops chapter on Legendary solo. Not because it was difficult but it’s just grindy as all hell!

At some point, Spartan Ops completions on Legendary solo will just become an everyday thing. I have done a total of 4 completions of Spartan Ops on Legendary (solo). For me, the biggest annoyance with Spartan Ops is that there exists a lot of missions and it takes a while to learn and develop effective strrategies for these missions.
