The more and more we get closer to launch date there seems to be more and bad news on the LE edition. I’m going to keep my pre-order but i still think we’ve been jipped. We’ve been told we were going to get all this great exclusive stuff and right before the game comes out 343 is like oh no you miss understood us, what your actually getting is a special DOWNLOADABLE forward unto dawn movie, your getting the war games map pass but it doesn’t include the two cool helmets and emblem, you are going to get this cool recruit armor, oh wait never mind your just getting the cool armor skin because everybody starts out with recruit armor. Today i also learned that you can’t use specializations until you reach level 50, what is the point of giving us 3 months early access to all 8 specializations if were going to reach level 50 in like a few months anyways? I didn’t forget the physical content which will be pretty cool actually. I’m probably freaking out for no reason. Hopefully LE isn’t as bad as what i think it’s going to be, 343 my extra 40 bucks that i could put towards another game is in your hands… tell them to make it count.

I probably would have donated the money to 343 anyway. Instead im getting a super special awesome game and a super special awesome shiny box with some extra stuff to go along.
I’m not disappointed with 343i at all so I support their cause.

I’m not upset either way. The only thing that I was every wanting were the physical bonuses. Of which I though FUD, Making of FUD, and Making of Halo 4 were part of because that is how everyone has done it.
Learning that they will be stream only, even though I easily have good enough internet to stream above 1080p the appeal to me is lessoned and I am debating canceling my LE in favor for the standard.
As I said though, I am not mad. Just surprised.
The avatar and Spartan armor crap? I couldn’t care less about.
In my opinion, the Limited Edition was poorly handled. The physical stuff is fine, but the digital stuff is all-over the place or disappointing. The marketing should have been a lot better from day one!

I actually think it comes with the helmets and the emblem. I’m pretty sure the season pass is just included with the LE. Maybe I’m wrong, but this is what I remember hearing.

I don’t know about you, but this was pretty clear:

I read that when it came out and knew about it ever since. I didn’t really even care for it because the Armour looked ugly to me anyways.

I canceled my LE from Gamestop and went with the Standard pre-order from the Microsoft Store.
Reasons IMO:
Pulse Armor, Gungnir > Forest Armor, HAZOP
Do not care about any of the extra physical stuff LE gives you, it’s intended for Halo Fanatics.
I do not care about any avatar stuff. I never did, avatars are weak and their costumes always looks ridiculous.
Forward Unto Dawn will most likely be uploaded to Youtube as with the making of it.
I think it will be on Waypoint anyway.
Specializations can not be used till lvl 50, what!?
$40 to $50 extra dollars is not worth it at all. I’ll take that money and pay for AC3.
Doesn’t the separate 2000 point map pack card come with 2 bonus helmets? LE doesn’t right, ouch.
Those are my reasons, the only draw back is that I will have to wait for Microsoft to ship my copy which will be
a few days but I can wait since I’ll have AC3 by then.
When I canceled the people at Gamestop were like, O_O
I’m glad I won’t be waiting on the line for the mid night release either, I don’t need to see the faces of people
who will be talking trash, T-bagging or rage quitting later.
