What is your least favourite Campaign mission?

Just curious, maybe the one that you found the most frustrating during your first play through.

Forget the name but the one where you have to fly around and protect the ODST group.

That’s “New Alexandria” and it’s the one Reach level I never replay unless it’s for the Golden Tree City challenge. The Falcon is my least favorite vehicle to operate in the entire Halo series including the forklift.

You don’t like the Falcon? I think it’s one of the best vehicle in Halo. The forklift just a joke; once I drive it against the Hunters, it was a bad idea.
Secondly, I dont know which is my favourite level. There is something good in each level, so hard to say…

I found the Falcon controls to be awkward and the handling sluggish. Which is strange because I think the Hornet in Halo 3 is great and all the other vehicles in the other Halo games are fine.

The Halo Wars level where the planes have to be protected.

Edit: Didn’t realize this was in the Reach forum. I like all of the levels in Reach.

Yeah I’m not crazy about that level either. The first time I played through I didn’t know I had to lock it’s altitude. Hornets seem to fly the same way but don’t require that. I find them easier to fly. I’m a Hornet/Banshee person.

You don’t have to lock the altitude, you can just half press the trigger. I really enjoyed the Falcon. I still love it, but “Long Night of Solace” is probably my least favorite, only because it feels like you spend a fair amount of time waiting for enemies to spawn.

Sword Base and Nightfall

A frequent annoyance that I deal with every time I play New Alexandria is I try to kill that Engineer as soon as I enter the Hospital but the Grunts wake up and the Engineer flies to the bottom. I hate the layout that room of the Hospital.

Nightfall.

It just plays too slowly and I’m not a fan of Jun.

Long Night of Solstice because you are mostly in a vehicle and don’t have your feet on the ground.

But Winter Contingency also is one of my least favorites.

I love Nightfall. Seriously yall anytime there is a challenge with finishing a non-specified campaign mission, just speedrun Nightfall and the credits are yours! Also Long Night of Solstice is my least favorite, i like the flying in the ship, but to me it was one of the more boring mission. Minus the fact i got to wreck those flying covenant fools. lol

Winter Contingency and ONI Sword Base. I find them kinda boring to be honest.

Wait a minute isn’t it Long Night of the Solace?

I like that level to be honest.

Nightfall is not my speciality cause sniping is not my speciality.

No the ODST one is Exodus. Check properly.

I like Winter Contingency, basically because you have the most allies to help you, and it’s the easiest level to get the Carter Helmet avatar award. (compete any mission on Legendary without dying) Watch out for the Sword Elite, and the Concussion Rifle BOBs. BTW there are 7 possible BOBs that may spawn in this level, and the one near the Troopers at the small puddle killed me twice today.

When Reach first came out, I think Long Night of Solace for me - it took me quite a while to get passed that on Legendary (though I have a better understanding these days so it’s not that bad now). These days I think Winter Contingency - I usually try and do the falcon skip just to bypass most of it.

I liked the feel of Nightfall, but it felt like it took a while. I’d pick that or New Alexandria.
