Just out of curiosity I’d like to know how my ISP ranks. According to Speed Test I’m running this. Admittedly we’re streaming music from a Youtube playlist but there isn’t a difference when we aren’t streaming music. What are your ping rates & are you getting a lot of lag? Tonight we’re getting multiple resets, deaths while lagged out, enemy scores while waiting to get back in game, & overall aggravation.
Wrong forum, if there’s a section for this at all. Anyway, my ISP gives:
25ms Ping
7.46 mbps Download
3.75 mbps upload.
Firefox, a ton of tabs
12.07 Mb/s down
24.09 Mb/s up
14ms ping
Chrome, no other tabs
11.20 Mb/s down
25.18 Mb/s up
14ms ping
Same server for both test. Both tests were run while other devices in my house were active.
Connections are generally good, and I’m usually able to play with international friends (Aus, NZ) without experiencing problems on my end (probably because I or another American are pulling host).

You aren’t locked in by your ISP. They should sell different level plans.
My wife and I upgraded our internet to 110Mbps down and 6Mbps up.
If your internet isn’t good enough for you, call your ISP and upgrade.

What did you do to your internet? This is my result.

Notice that you’re speed is faster than 65% of the country.
Here’s mine. Slower than over half the country. SA represent!
350 Mbps claimed, but her’s the real world effiency: 203 Mbps up, 16 Mbps down, with a ping of 6 millseconds.

WTF. Is this real? Holy crap.
This is mine. And it’s the best I can get where I live. I miss stable internet.
I get around 100 Mbps down, 50 Mbps up, 4 ms ping fairly consistently, with an occasional spike up to 150 Mbps down, 75 Mbps up.
Ah, college internet!
I live in an apartment. My connection can be anywhere from 2-15Mbps download and .5-4Mbps upload. It just matters on what my neighbors are doing or if my son is on XBL on his Xbox.
According to my ISP I’m getting their best service which is 30 mps. It’s fine for surfing, Netflix, etc but I’m rarely picked as a host & we’ve had some strange occurrences lately that I’ve chalked up to lag.
I am on a linear 25x25MPBS with a 14ms ping. I was thinking about pricing out a T-1 line.
