I started at default 78, then went to 90, then to 100, then 110, and maxed it at 120. I’ve found melees inconsistent at a higher FOV but shots registering slightly better, only problem is your aimer gets smaller and you get that fishbowl effect. Still trying to figure out what works best for this game. What do you guys think?
You playing with controller or mouse and keyboard? FOV and some other controller settings with controller can actually make aim assist behave differently, some found a way to make it stronger with different settings. I also think FOV is bugged, I’ve seen videos that the “hit boxes” for controller doesn’t change, meaning a higher FOV should shrink the hit box around the enemy but it doesn’t, just the enemy shrinks. For an example. Lets say every player has an outline around them, the outline is the hit box. A higher FOV should shrink both the player and outline, but the enemy just shrinks and the outline stays the same but thicker around the enemy.
I’m on mouse and keyboard so none of that matters to me, I like my FOV at 103.
I’m on controller, and feel like the aim assist is hit or miss. Or shots are not registering.
I play on max FOV on both controller and kbm.
The game didn’t feel right until I did that in the flight and now I would find it hard to go back, feels like I’d be at a disadvantage too.
I stay at default. I tried changing but just cant.
Edit: It might be good to mention rating as well? Onyx 1600
100 FOV
20 characters
I prefer 120 here. More field of view the better!
I’m still tuning but I’m hovering between 100-110.
I like 86 fov, i don’t like fov above 90 because everything gets too small on the screen
I assume 100, if not 103 if it lets you go in integers (I don’t have access to my game right now)
FOV is all personal preference.
I play at 90 on both my TV and my ultrawide monitor. Don’t like the fish-eye effect that starts to be noticeable to me above that.
I’m at 98, and it feels just right for me.
I play at 105. It seems to be the sweet spot for me. I’ve tried the higher FOVs but I’ve found that they make me motion sick.
Im onyx 1633 on the series S. After trial and error I finally found my settings a good dead zone and what not. On a 140 hz Monitor. I tryed 115,110,105,100. I ended up finally setting on 85 and most ranked games my accuracy is at 60. Your not alone lol
90 seems to be a good fit for me, I don’t like the increased “speed” at the high FOVs. 120 is just headache fuel for me. With how the maps are laid out I don’t see much advantage to going any higher.
I play at 120 FOV. I feel as if aiming is more consistent.
