What is your favourite weapon in Halo 4?

The title says it all, folks. What is your favourite weapon in Halo 4?

I’ll start since I’m the author of the thread. My favourite weapon in Halo 4 is the Assault Rifle. The AR was my first gun to ever use in a video-game, and I’ve been loving it ever since Halo CE. What I really hated about Reach was that the AR was absolutely useless, it was a joke and a middle finger to all the AR lovers like me. The AR is back to being useful in Halo 4, and I applaud 343 for that. It’s not overpowered although.

Even though I usually select my loadout with my Prime-skinned Assault Rifle, I will switch in weapons depending on my situation and current condition on the battlefield. For example, I’ll trade it my AR for a sniper on Vortex or Ragnarock, because close-range combat does not happen as often on those maps. One key to becoming a good Halo player is to adapt to your situation.

Eugh I can’t pick just one.

My favorite new weapon is the Incineration Cannon. Sticky Launcher, SAW and Railgun are close seconds.

I personally love all of the weapons, everything is so powerful and satisfying to get kills with. The only weapon I don’t like is the Boltshot.

The Assault Rifle hands down. It sounds and looks amazing. Plus, I have always loved how it had a compass on it.

I love the Carbine too, but I find it a bit underpowered which sometimes makes me refrain from using it in online War Games :wink:

Aha I love both of those weapons so much! Sometimes I just ditch the Binary Rifle for a Beam Rifle just to hear that amazing sound. Love Scattershot, it’s so satisfying to see your enemies disintegrate completely.
