The mang. Although getting kills with the skewer is very satisfying.
I love the Hydra I really kicks BUTT in my custom games. 2 shots and your DEAD!!! ![]()
It’s telling that nobody at this moment voted Sniper Rifle, because historically, everyone likes the Sniper to the point of betraying their teammates for it. Seems the ones not voted on are weapons with the most problems, though Disruptor is likely the best of that group imo.
i’ve never liked snipers, so not everybody ![]()

Solid points.
I see it more as a brute shot, where it’s kinda good, kinda not. My main gripe with it is that it feels unreliable right now:
- Charge up is like double the Plasma Pistol’s, make it a bad option in direct fight.
- Battery drain is super fast, discouraging me from keeping it charge and ready. Also you can’t grapple while charging weapons.
- Primary fire looks like it does splash damage, but doesn’t.
- Primary fire requires landing 3 full bursts from a gun that has bullet travel & bullet drop.
- It can hurt the user (skill issue, not a gun issue, but it there).
- All while having very little ammo (and it’s tier 2, so no refills).
I agree that it’s a misunderstood weapon, but I also think it doesn’t succeed in what it’s supposed to be. If it’s an Area Denial gun, its charge needs to be able to be held longer or charged faster. The PP relies on its alt-fire and I never have to worry about my battery draining in 2 seconds unless I have 2% left. That or the AoE shot needs to last longer on the ground or be larger to really discourage people from entering an area. Heck adding tiny puddles on the primary fire could help with this as well.
If it’s supposed to be a direct fire gun, then they need to get rid of that “splash” effect nonsense. Right now it appears to be affecting a larger area than it actually is. Vice versa, if it’s suppose to be a splash damage gun, then they need to give it splash damage.
Absolutely true, but also part of the problem. I don’t think that a gun is good simply because it can combo into a BR headshot.
- Because that’s the Plasma Pistol’s thing. If every gun starts doing that, then what’s the point of the PP? It already lost the EMP. And we already have 3(?) shield stripping weapons (PP, Disruptor, and Pulse Carbine). Notably, all 3 have suffered the wrath of the community (although the Disruptor shreds).
- Some guns should simply be competent on their own. I have no problem with the Ravager comboing into the BR/Sidekick/whatever, but as a Tier 2, it should just be able to kill something if need be.
I think it suffers from what most of Infinite’s “bad guns” suffer from, being unreliable.
I went with the Shock Rifle. I’m not a great shot with it, but because it has the added effect of shutting down vehicles temporarily (Banshees and Wasps are a particular favourite) I can contribute so much to the team’s success in Big Team Battle. My mate, the designated driver of the team, always appreciates the help when he’s dogfighting with another Wasp.
I really like when my Skewer hits though, there’s no greater satisfaction with getting someone to walk right into it.
Love the Skewer too. I love missing people and putting the fear of god into them. They peak out. I shoot. A superheated spike whizzes by and they turn their head to see their nosehair nailed to the wall behind them.
My second favorite is probably the Cindershot. That thing slaps
The Skewer is really satisfying if you can aim it well.
The DMR! The M90!
Oh wait…
