We know that many have not liked the Halo 4 soundtrack, but others like me love it, it may not sound like… well… Halo, but it’s good, for me 117 or Arrival are S tier. And for you, which one is the best?

I feel like halo 4 has a really good soundtrack. I think my favorite has to be the mantis music though.

Awakening, 117, Arrival. Unforgotten and Armour are pretty cool too, but my favourite will forever be Awakening.

It’s too much of a departure from the iconic motifs that defined Halo before H4 (imagine a numbered, episodic Star Wars movie entirely forgoing many of the series’ main music motifs and themes), but evaluated on its own merits, I think the H4 soundtrack is okay.
117 certainly had the potential to become a new main Halo theme. Just a really solid track. Most of Davidge’s compositions for the soundtrack are serviceable too- good, even, but not in comparison to the all-time great stuff O’Donnell and Salvatori wrote for the series.

Halo 4’s soundtrack is underrated, in my opinion. To Galaxy and 117 are my favourites.
