IMO, I feel the covenant has always had the most iconic power weapons in the series… Each 1 having an interesting mechanic…
weather im using the needler with its tracking device,The beam rifle, which takes the word “sniping” to a whole new level, the fuel rod cannon, with its fast fire rate and bounciness, which can lead to some Theater-worthy overkills, the gravity hammer and its large melee radius for multikills…
the the energy sword, which anyone who’s played a halo game before should know about
These weapons all got 1 thing in common though, they play differently compared to other weapons and are just hella fun to use…
so… whats your favorite?
mines the needler personally…
Energy Sword. Energy Sword + Sprint = Overkill.
Wait… no Consussion rifle?
This hurts me quite a lot to see this.
Same goes for Brute shot as I’d class both of them as being one as one is listed as a power weapon while being an elite clone of the brute rifle.
Sure compared to some of the weapons its quite weak but it counters pretty much every CQC weapon going and can be used for evasive maneuvers and doing tricks in vehicles.
The beam rifle, which takes the word “sniping” to a whole new level
LOL how exactly?

instead of sniping from across the map, you can just walk to them and spam the fire button, your GARRENTIED a kill :P!

Unless you’re me… No seriously if you’ve seen me with one I’m terrible and Can snap shot better with the other 2 snipers.
But it’s ok about the Concussion rifle. I guess it can be easy to forget if you was to compare it to the ones listed. XD

Guaranteed* Sorry, it had to be done.
Anyways, I’d have to say the Halo 4 Needler or Concussion Rifle. Everyone underestimates the Needler, so they don’t pick it up. There’s usually plenty of ammo for it, and I usually get a good number of kills. People don’t seem to like the Concussion Rifle either. Not sure why. Whenever I pick it up, I get at least three or four kills. I guess I just played too much Dino Blasters in Reach.
Halo 1:
Needler
Fuel Rod Mortar
Plasma Grenade
Halo 2:
Energy Sword
Plasma Grenade
Halo 3:
Fuel Rod Gun
Gravity Hammer
Halo 4:
Beam Rifle
Needler since Halo 2’s dual wielding.
I mean c’mon, how is a gun that shoots heat seeking pink needles that explode not cool?
The Hammer cause I can smash -Yoink-! But I like the sword, I like melee weapons
Halo CE: Needler
Halo 2-3: Needler and beam rifle
Reach: Needler, focus rifle, and concussion rifle
Halo 4: Beam rifle and concussion rifle
> The Hammer cause I can smash Yoink!! But I like the sword, I like melee weapons
Something we have in common. I love weapons based off old weapon designs.
I like all of them, but Beam Rifle and Carbine has to take the top of my list
I love the Gravity hammer!
Sword. Easily. Just everything about it is perfect for me. The sound not so much in Halo 4, but that’s personal preference.
Aside from that, Concussion rifle. It’s more useful than people tend to realise. Good at countering the sword, the hammer, and in Reach I believe it could be used to alter rocket paths, although don’t quote me on that.
On top of that, in Reach (and Halo 4 to an extent) it was very effective at increasing movement options (via trick jumping) and could be used as an alternate to jetpack.
Also, Concussion rifle Ninjas were awesome.
The Scarab Gun from Halo 2.
If you desire a modern weapon I would say Gravity Hammer for the trick jumping I do with it.
