I really like the move to add more modes into Halo 5 in the upcoming update. With that being said, there’s a lot more work to do if the series is to explode in popularity.
For that to happen, I would like to see more modes. I’m a big fan of King of the Hill, Infection, and Action Sack, so I hope those return. However, this is my opinion, but I think FFA could use an overhaul by adding more objective based modes. For example, Juggernaut, a custom king of the hill, possibly some new (exclusive) modes. You know–more variety instead of slayer every single game. Lastly, I wouldn’t also mind Strongholds being its own playlist OR having team arena consisting of non-slayer modes.
Although this may be happening already, but 343 should incorporate a ton of new custom forge maps each month for all modes (minus Warzone, unless the Forge cost can accommodate large scale maps). In addition, why can’t the ability to download custom forge maps be easier? I remember back in the old Bungie days of Halo 3, you could visit the site, queue a download, and your console will automatically receive the information. We need that back because it’ll make sharing easier and our experiences more joyful.
Lastly, and this is a small wish, but what if 343 offered even more custom controller options.
- Higher look sensitivity options - Now you can adjust your sensitivity to 20. - Smart-Link adjustments - You can now adjust how much your look sensitivity is reduced by while using SL. Do you want a 0%/10%/20%/30%/40%/50% reduction? - Just an opinion, but what if we could now reload while sprinting by default?
I’d like more scripting and optimization in forge. Bugfixes, the ability to script volumes, the addition of enter/exit volumes, the ability to script volumes, an option for timers to only start counting when the item they’re tied to is spawned, and the ability to script volumes.
Classic playlists (Classic Slayer, Objective, and BTB is all I need), ranked and/or unranked.
All the old gametypes to come back. All of them. Every single one except the obvious ones like Invasion and Dominion.
Warzone weapons/vehicles added to Forge mode and Custom Game options for Starting Weapons.
That’s all I need. We’ll have amazing customs and throwback matchmaking.
Just remove March on Stormbreak from the rotation and I’ll be a happy Spartan.

New warzone map based on high charity. Have brutes wielding red storm rifles as main AI’s together with grunts and jackals. Brute chieftains as bosses and hunters. Prophet of Regret or tarturus as legendary bosses. Have AI attacking some bases some times to spice things up. Then have flood take over in last 5-4 mins of match like in the actual H2 campaign and have a flood juggernaut as final legendary boss

> - A significant UI update for REQ load-outs and main menu transitions. The lag is just plain bad. As is the organization or your Spartan Appearance items (you should be able to rearrange them in order of Rarity and have a “favorites” tab when you star/flag the one’s you like best)

I’d love to see unsc air vehicles hit the scene. Suppressor variants, infection, and more halo throwback weapons would be fun. I’m always up for new warzone maps as well.

-REAL BTB maps (I would like to see Bloodline and Boneyard make a return in H5), and a return of Heavy. I know there’s warzone, but I liked Heavy’s maps in Reach.
-Noble Six Armor
-Different REQ System in Warzone : For example, instead of going through all the BR’s to get one, make categories : “Standards”; “Longshots” and “Sentinels” that would be a lot easier. Same thing with other weapons.
-Covenants maps
That’s it. I didn’t mention other things like Infection or CE Magnum because I’m pretty sure it’s coming.

That would be so cool ! I would love to see a New Mombasa map for Warzone and Arena.
And I liked the ODST Magnum too !
Also, some sort of promethean armor variant where you have energy glue keeping the shoulder pads etc together.

My dream update would include.
A rebalance to all auto rifles in the game.
Party restrictions for arena. No more teams of 4 matching against randoms.
A true social playlist, no hidden MMR, ranks, etc.
More maps, not remixes either.
Implemnation of classic maps, made by forge.
And just for the hell of it, replacing all Halo 5 BRs on all maps with Halo 2 BRs.
