What is wrong with some of you nowadays?

Seriously, I have never seen so many people complain about a game before. If you don’t like the game, then play something else. Don’t post about it, try and make a scene to prove a senseless point. Remember back in the day, when games weren’t about multiplayer, and everyone enjoyed most everything that was ever released? I’m almost positive I will get ripped apart for this post, but I felt someone had to say something.

Back in the day when games were released as complete products? Something that is a rarity anymore? When the goal was less about making a quick buck and more about making a product that sold well and was replayed because it was well made?

I payed 120$ for this video game. And I am damn well going to voice my opinion on the matter. As it the duty of a consumer.

> Seriously, I have never seen so many people complain about a game before.

Try Modern Warfare 2.

> If you don’t like the game, then play something else. Don’t post about it, try and make a scene to prove a senseless point.

So balancing the game is a senseless point?

> Remember back in the day, when games weren’t about multiplayer, and everyone enjoyed most everything that was ever released?

That time never existed.

> I’m almost positive I will get ripped apart for this post, but I felt someone had to say something.

Except you didn’t say anything that will amount to anything at all.

>Remember back in the day when games weren’t about multiplayer.

What?

Also back in the day you had -Yoink- like Quake, now you have -Yoink- like Call of Duty. No wonder no one complained back then.

> Remember back in the day, when games weren’t about multiplayer, and everyone enjoyed most everything that was ever released?

I’m sorry, but no, I don’t.

No. I remember people -Yoinking!- about Final Fantasy 8 because it wasn’t enough like 7. I remember people -Yoinking!- about a Resident Evil 3 because it had Jill Valentine in it. People have always -Yoinked!-. Its just that people now -Yoink- about MP now. That why I love Bioshock.

You’re absolutely right and it’s a valid request. I’ve made posts asking the Moderators to open an Official Halo 5 forum before because really General Discussion is fun, but it’s sort of a dumping ground. I’ve made constructive posts in favor of the Competitive and the Progressive Gamer. I’ve fought for Transforming Warthogs and Team orientation Mechanics to really solve the underlying issues and all to no avail.

I’m slowly moving into the Destiny Forum back at B.net and once it really ramps up you’ll probably never see me again, because I really don’t want to bash Halo 4’s population like Halo 3 players did Reach’s and I much rather spend my time in a Halo 5 forum having fun again talking about the possibilities than the hard realities I have no control over.

Until then I’m hanging around and waiting for 343 to go 5.

People complain about the game because they don’t enjoy it as much as they want to, and see many ways that the game could be improved. They care about Halo 4 and the future of the franchise, they want to see Halo reach its potential.

Opening the Halo 5 forums? I fully support.

Why would anyone enjoy this game? Do people not have standards for a FPS? Standards like weapon balance and the simplist of custom settings?

Unfortunately this is Halo, and thanks to Bungie some standards HAVE been set.

And those of us who care are here to let 343 know just how far below those standards this game is hitting, UNLIKE the thousands every month that are putting their H4 to rest without a word (IE: the declining online populace)

You havent been gaming long enough then.

People used to buy/play games to enjoy them, not to prove they are better than someone in a digital play ground that has no real bearing on real life.

ps. If you spend $120 bucks on a video game, you are asking for a let down. It also gives you no more right than someone who bought the game for $15 bucks used.(that was directed to someone else)

Actually, I do enjoy this game. I do have standards in gaming. This halo has lived up to the standards that bungie set in my personal opinion.

I like my games to evolve and grow. If I wanted to play the bugged halo 2 or play halo 3 still then I would put that in my box. I like the direction halo has moved.

It gives me the right, as a consumer to voice my opinion. If you own a license to the game you have the right to complain all you want if it isn’t up to yours, or the series standard.

And for note, I have purchased man 100$+ video games. Never have I been disappointed once. Until I purchased Halo 4.

And they also complained about them just as much and as viciously today…so much so the videogame industry crashed due to the crap that flooded the marketplace.

There’s the people who complain about the game.
Then there’s the people who complain about the people complaining about the game.

In the end, people just complain for the sake of complaining. I just wouldn’t even worry about it. Unless someone creates a post explaining a fault and actually gives ideas on how to improve it, I’d just ignore it.

The 80’s and 90’s video games were not thrashed any where remotely close to what filth spews forth today for EVERY game that is launched.

There is a difference between not buying E.T. for atari and bashing an AAA title because you are bored and like to troll forums then secretly go play the game you are bashing.

Hmm, well TBH, the problem with games now they focus on MP instead of things like the Campaign… they think you can’t have both. So some games will have good story and a bad/so-so MP… likewise when MP is great, Campaign is so-so. Almost like Campaign has become a training area instead of an actual real story. Older games lasted longer had more replay with there Campaign alone, while now with 3-10 hr Campaigns defeat the purpose of almost playing some.

In short… they put to much effort into MP, while leaving out what the game was based on, the Campaign…

Videogames were significantly less played back then. As the audience of a medium grows, as will complaints. This is basic logic. But even then, I remember complaints of games like Bards Tale 2 not living up to being the kind of sequel Bard’s Tale deserved.

Clearly your standards are terribly low, and thankfully for our sakes you’re in the minority.

Infinity Slayer is literally some kind of ‘Power Weapon Team Fiesta’ game type that anybody in their right mind during Halo 3’s glory days would have laughed at and thought it a great Action Sack mode at best. We now have an entire game’s MP centered around it.

People bought games because they looked fun. When they weren’t fun, they -Yoinked!-.
