What is wrong with my DLC??

Hey everyone, I just bought Halo 4 Limited Edition and these are my issues:

  1. I bought standard pre-order for Oceanic Skins from Wal-mart weeks ago.
  2. I bought Halo 4 Limited Edition today just for the extra maps lol.

Now I play with my fiance on the same console, so he punched in all codes except the female avatar outfits because I could put those on mine lol.
Afterwards he changes all his junk on Halo 4 (skins, gun skin, emblem extras lol) but when I go to change anything there’s nothing there for me to select!
Is this a common issue?
My fiance said," If I known this was going to happen I would’ve given you all the content".

Does that mean the DLC maps that came with the Limited Edition for online won’t work if we both play split screen. We always play on the same xbox (except for Minecraft lol) and we use the SAME hard drive. Also on a side note; all the Fable 3 DLC worked for the both of us, same for Saints Row 3rd and just 2 days ago Borderlands 2.
It also didn’t state in fine print anywhere that it was one gamertag only lol; just one-time use, like every other code!

Can someone please help me in anyway at all, I just feel like i’ve wasted my money considering I’ve been seeing the DLC on ebay for $65 plus lol.
P.S: I’ve tried checking for it on the Hard drive for myself and it doesn’t show for my to DL again, and i’ve restarted the xbox in hopes for a load in lol.

Will be recieving email notifications of my post but in the meanwhile I’ll be playing Halo 4 I guess lol.
And no, DLC isn’t just for one person, since my fiance DL’ed Minecraft and I can play it on the same console while he’s with his gamertag in another room haha.
(been recieving many comments saying it doesn’t work none the less for local players lol.)

i believe at one point they said they wouldnt allow content on same xbox to be shared but then 343 is a mystery really could try contacting support they might be able to help
