I’m so tired of it, I had 2 wins away from literally getting onyx and I had an 11 win streak at that too. Then when I’m so CLOSE TO GETTING IT, I get idiots on my team and it always happens every time, I swear 343 has to put a level requirement in this game or more options to I don’t get idiots all the time when I’m finally going to finish something that I’ve been trying to do for 5 years.
I understand your frustration and it’s the main reason I don’t play ranked arena anymore.
However you also need to consider that the game is well over 5 years old now. The population of the game is much smaller and finding a ranked match full of players who are of a similar skill level is much harder than it has been in the past. You will get teammates who maybe aren’t playing against players their skill level.
This means teams will occasionally be unbalanced.
Considering you claimed to be on a 11 win streak then yes the game will try to match you with more difficult opponents to test your true skill. That’s what ranked is all about. You win enough matches, you go against tougher opponents.
As for locking players out of playlists til they hit a certain level…that’s not really a fair move.
Players should be able to play what they want.
Also XP is just a factor of time put into the game and doesn’t represent any form of skill whatsoever. You could have a 152 player who’s only ever played firefight and they’ve never touched arena before. Does that make them any more competitively qualified than a level 20 who’s only just picked up the gam and played for a day or two?

I understand your frustration, you would think after 5 years everyone would know how to play the game. You have to take into account that there may be people who don’t play often because of work or other responsibilities. I stopped stressing over rank a long time ago, the ranking system is wack anyways.
It happens. Last season I was Diamond 6, then my buddies got off and I continued to solo queue. I ended up falling all the way down to Plat 6.
This season, I’ve ranked Onyx in two different playlists. My advice is to simply not solo queue, and not to think of your random teammates as idiots. They may just not be as knowledgeable as you. Use your headset and try and guide them.

Exactly, I dislike new players that decide to jump into ranked when they cannot play the game at all.

This is what angers me, I get a full team of diamonds and while the enemy team gets 3 Onyx’s and 1 champ. Fair.

Generally, the game will know it’s not fair and so you will only lose 1 CSR point, but will gain a lot if you win.
That’s why I dont like ranked and only play regular. Why do i get punished for doing great but not being able to carry 3 other people against a group of 4? Makes no sense.
I recommend only playing with a team, it alleviates so much of the pain. The only downside is it tends to throw super sweats at you but you gotta pick your battles at that point. Good luck
I only play regular. Also is it just me or is the art style really weird? Like they went with simple textures (or what I’ve seen in MP) yet high res graphics don’t really work well. It’s fine it’s just weird

Mhm, I carry my team but we loose by barely any and I loose my rank.

The system is flawed, but I understand its difficult to balance a ranking system
