What is this ranking system about?

I dont really understand it, does it not show your rank?

For example,
In Halo Reach you could look at their nameplate and see their rank Emblem/Picture
In Halo 4 you look at their nameplate/card and cannot see their rank emblem/picture.

Is this right?

I’m not really sure, but I believe Halo 4 and Reach will both be the same. I think by “invisible ranks” it’s really just invisible trueskill. If I’m correct, visible trueskill is what was in Halo 3 ranked, and Reach has invisible trueskill (or “invisible ranks”).

I might be wrong. I certainly hope that some sort of rank is visible, even if it is through the same system as Reach.

Halo 4 will have a completely new ranking system. So far nobody knows if rank will be visible or not.
