Who the -Yoink- came up with this?
After a stream of unlucky disconnects today, I get the message that I am banned from matchmaking. What? Since when are bans given out for this? I don’t remember seeing anything about adding a ban for quitting.
Wasn’t the JIP system designed so that quitting a game had no impact on the other players in the game?
Maybe it is time to see how far the halo 4 disc can fly if I throw it off the top of 26 floor building.
Disconnect/quit is pretty much the same thing. You left a game before it finished. You did it multiple times, and that results in a quit ban. It does not matter whether it was accidental or on purpose. It will still end with the same result.
JIP isn’t a solution to people quitting, hence why quit bans still exist. You quitting/lagging out still leaves everyone in that game with a worse experience.
Its been in since reach and JIP is to refill the games quitters leave. The quitters are still rightfully punished for their actions.
The best part was that I “lagged out” going from literally end of game (the game was actually over, team had won) to end of game screen. This did not affect anyone. Nobody. But still receive quit ban 
The halo reach quit ban was not so bad, 10 minutes locked out and I only received it twice.
This game is easier to fill up a game with new players, but the ban is 1 hour?
I quit my fair share of games, and have never seen this ban.
If you’ve disconnected enough to warrant that, you should probably take the time to assess your network quality.

The ban is one hour because you’re still ruining the experience for others. I find it hard to believe you lagged out every single time at the very end of the game (a quit ban only occurs if you’ve quit A LOT of times in a short space of time).
If you don’t want quit bans then I advise you sort your connection out to prevent the quit bans.
