What do you think is the worst thing about Halo 4 in your opinion?

For me, the fact that some of the great gametypes were removed like Invasion, Assault, and Juggernaut.

Jetpack or no descoping. I can’t decide.

Oh man, I have to name one thing to be considered as the worst thing in Halo 4? But there are so many things to list!

Can I just say that the worst part about Halo 4 is the whole “make it more accessible/easy” approach they took?

Lag due to abysmal host selection.

host advantage…

Without blasting like an incorrigible manchild, I’d say the server lag has gone to a whole new low. This doesn’t help that I’m running on a new account because of some idiotic security proof wall I can’t seem to get past. I appreciate 343 for being human and trying to work with whatever conditions they need to tolerate.

Running a server can be hell, let’s just accept that fact.

As for the game and content? Unbalanced maps. I think Complex is the only most terrible map so far with how it is being treated as a universal answer to all that’s “perfect” or “functioning”… A huge ramp should never be placed in the very center of a map. That’s a cardinal sin.

I can’t decide between the Boltshot, or the online community…

Third.

Sprint

Not living up to its potential.

They missed so many opportunities for great events during campaign, in Spartan Ops, and Matchmaking could have been fleshed out a lot better. File Share could have come out at launch if it wasn’t rushed to meet the deadline. They also did a very poor job of explaining many things in the plot, which I don’t understand because you wanna make the story newcomer-friendly when you’re trying to make Halo more accessible.

There are a lot of things to list, but all in all, I do enjoy this game. It’s just that the end product was slightly disappointing…

Maps. Maps are the lifeblood of Halo multiplayer. Some of these are decent but they lack that classic Halo feel. Even Reach had it IMHO.

Plasma Pistol/Nade Start
Useless Vehicles (mainly due to above)
Mantis
AA (Mostly cloak)
No descope (Flinch makes it newb friendly)
Infinity settings (luckily most playlist dont have it anymore or its a vote)

Other then that the game is enjoyable, the WORST thing is probably the constant crying from the community on here no matter what 343i does its just endless crying.

I’d say bullet magnetism. Normally, I’d say instant respawn but now that’s just a bad memory.

Accessible doesn’t mean easy, the original halo games were more accessible than halo 4. Unfortunately 343 didn’t know that when they were in development.

The lack of a local only search option.

Ah yes, pointing out flaws in a game is a terrible thing we should never do!

The way Universal Sprint negatively affects multiplayer map design.
