What is the worst kind of player in Halo 5?

We’ve all had those players who’ve made us angry or frustrated. Let’s discuss them.

What kind of player in Halo 5 never fails to anger you?

My pick is smurfers. In my opinion, those people are human garbage.

Definitely the guy in warzone who drives you in a warthog straight into enemies cross fire like he meant to. The moment you realize he was never on your side it’s already to late for you lol

These are the following players that really push me over the edge:

  • Smurfs - Teamkillers - Griefers - Teabaggers (I know it’s part of Halo, but I personally associate it with those being an immature -Yoink- to others) - Randoms who spam you with invites day and night, especially if they’re literal 12 year-olds (guarantees a block from me) - Those who openly talk -Yoink- about their own family through the mic (keep that stuff to yourself…)

Preach.

I can’t disagree with any of the choices thus far. However, for me, it’s quitters in any arena ranked playlist. Although, maybe that qualifies as a “non-player” rather than a “player.”

Human garbage is a pretty harsh statement in my opinion. There are players, that in the past were completely unable to find games because of their high MMR, and making a smurf was their only recourse. I don’t let smurfs bother me as much as they used to, but then again I only play BTB nowadays. When I see smurfs there I just laugh and move on.

Anyway, the most annoying for me are the players who quit as soon as the first flag is capped or whatnot, and/or when they start going negative. That and ones who are in party chat and are talking nonstop without actually paying attention to the game. I don’t mind a little conversation, but to dominate the whole lobby with inane chatter and complaining about the game is exhausting and makes the game less enjoyable.

Team8s who team kill for -Yoinking!- power weapons

I’d say that my morals are somewhat utilitarian.

Here’s how I see it.

The MMR thing sucks. I understand that. But you do not ruin the game for 7 others just for your little special -Yoink-. Putting your enjoyment above that of 7 others is enough to make you trash and dishonorable in my eyes.

Smurfs are high-ranking / pro players that create a new account to face against newer / less-skilled players. Often ruins the fun for them.

Um, hey, quick word of advice. If you want to add more info, it’s better to edit your original post than add a new one. The mods here consider multiple posts in a row “bumping”, it’s against the rules.

Well I just don’t see it as that serious. Don’t get me wrong there was a time when I searched them out after every game to report them, but in the game’s life cycle right now I think it’s just wasted energy to worry about it. Plus with TS2 on its way it will be even more of a non issue.

People who -Yoink!- for no reason, I’d be fine if they foiled my assassination or actually did something cool but generic kill, eh

People who can’t drive, I’m fine when they drive into enemies and such but when they just can’t control the vehicle it irritates me so much

Those people in voice chat that are either little kids with their squeaky voices or the ones that don’t realise its on and you can hear everything i.e. dog barking, children screaming. I mute them immediately but my god no one wants to listen to a child screeching down the mic every time they get killed

By far the ones who get under my skin the most are the ones who go into a match and afk boost, meaning they aren’t playing but just moving the control stick once in a while to avoid getting booted for inactivity. I can deal with pretty much every other form of stupidity and griefing but I always report these people.

I would never do that in an open lobby with random people but I’ve gotta admit, most of the time when I play Halo with my friends I’m not talking about the match. I’ll do callouts and stuff when I can, but usually I’m having some kind of unrelated conversation while playing, so I might be guilty of this or at least the “inane chatter” part. But again, I wouldn’t do that with randoms, at least

Never thought this of you buddy. I am talking on a whole other level besides the random Halo or video game talk.

  1. Anyone who teamkills when teamkilling is allowed in the gamemode. More of a problem in older Halo games but I find it happens a lot in Fiesta.
  2. Teabaggers. I get that it is a part of Halo but it still aggravates me hahaha
  3. AFK boosters. I want to know what purpose this serves. Why play the game if you’re not going to play the game? It doesn’t make sense.
  4. Anyone who just gets on the mic to talk trash, play their obnoxiously loud music, or say random things that have nothing to do with the game.

when the team is losing quitters, i mean, c´mon have some selfrespect

Early quitters and smurfs because they fundamentally break the MM experience for everyone.

Followed closely by team-killers and people who have tons of noise on the background.
