What is the worst Halo matchmade game youve played

I’ve played ALot of halo thru the years even a few competition matches with noob teammates and kill freaks but this took the cake

a crazy king match on Mayhem CE, literally have the end results screenshotted with the players who done us in hitman style. 100% convinced it was my random matched team against one that were playing together,

281 deaths my team vs their 22 deaths. with 3 top players all 50+ kills one who didnt die at all 52/11/0. They literally spawn killed us for near 15 min. spawn and die literally 2-4 seconds later…about half the team left. I stayed and went 5-42 those 5 kills all attributed to lucky nades thrown the second i spawned, i traced 4 of the players all Day MCC players bc they had the special avatars and all 4 were ranked 50 in at least 1 competitive tier…i knew it was gonna be an unfair match when i saw a bunch of tier 5s and up joined but HOLY breh. Talk about unbalanced matchmaking

I recently went back to the 360 version of Halo 3, last year I believe(?), and only went in searching for Lone Wolves lobbies. I had a string of a few good games, and then it all went downhill when I kept connecting to a guy who very clearly wasn’t playing fair in the slightest. The match would load up, Slayer on Construct, and the guy gave himself 300% movement speed, 50% Gravity, and his shots would always connect to your head if you were merely in his vicinity. So couple that with him getting to the Sniper Rifle first, and you’ve got yourself a miserable time.

This is the whole reason why my tag in MCC is called unbalanced.

4v4 slayer, enemy team had three players quit right from the start. The last guy 1v4’d us and won like 50-40 or something. I’m never gonna recover from that embarrassment.

This is the first time I have commented on the forums in months. There is simply too many Egos that makes for a toxic forum. The last match I played was Big team Reach on MCC. We were clearly playing against an organized party. You could not move without getting destroyed by at least two players or get sniped. I had not played any halo of any kind in months if not a year, and that one match brought back all the anger that made me leave. I’m a casual player. I have accepted that the only people still playing are the dedicated players that live for Halo and nothing else.

Side note, as time as went on after leaving Halo 5 PvP, and playing other shooters, I have developed some theories. First is sprint, and that it is crucial to having Halo be a modern game. For those that don’t like sprint, 343 needs to have a “classic” gametype in the next game with all the game mechanics of Halo 3. Second, is Infinite, can’t do the same ole some ole PvP and expect to be successful. The game really needs something grand on the Scale of 32 vs 32 Big Team battle with maps 2 or three times as large as the ones in Halo 5. They(343) have the opportunity to take Battlefield players from BF. Unfortunately, I just don’t see them doing anything spectacular.

Halo for me is like an ex girlfriend you keep hoping will change, you see the potential, but nothing ever changes and you just watch them continually go down hill to the point, you have to just look away when you do see them.

Probably a custom match.

The bad part about some maps is just no spawn protection. I was being “farmed” by a team in Halo 2 classic BTB, but I figured it out pretty quickly and was able to counter fairly well (one bomb on Terminal, spawned in the base and was able to even get a killing spree of spawn campers). If it’s a map where I can’t even win a 1 v 1 BR/DMR battle off spawn, forget it - I just take the L and quit out. It definitely sucks when this happens, but from what I’ve experienced it’s pretty uncommon.

One of the worst matchmade games I’ve played in recent history (I’m sure there are worse ones still), was my buddy and I playing team doubles in the MCC. We hadn’t played Halo 4 in probably 5 or 6 years at that point and had completely forgotten how the game had worked and the map and power weapon spawns. We got shut out (and were very confused why the game didn’t end after 25 kills).

Old Xbox 360 games have been plagued with cheaters in online matchmaking for years now. Halo 3 isn’t unique in this regard. It happens on old Call of Duty titles, and you can even encounter these kinds of folk on the OG Reach as well.

I have a game clip of the encounter, but I’m not so sure if it goes against Halo Waypoint’s posting guidelines to show it.

Unfortunately not.

Usually games with a bunch of quitters in them cause then it just gets really boring.

Wow. And here I didn’t want to think this could be true, but remembering my last experience on CoD WaW on 360…it all makes sense.

woahhhhh

Ranked on Halo 5

I had to play a 1v4 in both halo 3 and halo 5. At least I still won the h3 one though.

I understand the pain. I have a hard time finding games so I turned the Balanced option to Widened and I see no difference in SBM.

The worst matches in my opinion is usually matches where some of the participating players doesn’t either doesn’t respect the rules of the game of exploit a feature. One place where this is prominent is in Halo Reach Grifball.

I got a dude that team kills for the sniper. The worst part was that he couldn’t even shoot straight, and made us lose the match. >:(

Wow. I heard rumors of bad matchmaking but as a new player, I didn’t expect it to be THIS bad.

Quite a few matches constantly felt like the team was organized and I’ve been trying to play as much 8v8 as possible as I am a fan of large game modes. I’ve played quite a bit of destiny crucible and online battlefront 2, when I first tried Halo multiplayer, it felt like a complete buzzkill. Part of why I could enjoy destiny crucible is that every player has an equal chance of killing the other players at least a few times per round with the most basic of strategic moves by using supers. Battlefront 2 just has a lot more going on, it’s easier to find distracted players and take them out. Halo offers no such game mode nor are its players like that. You get kills from either someone being stupid or just coordinating very well with your team (if you can). It’s fun when things work but otherwise I really don’t like Halo multiplayer and wish it had some game modes like battlefront 2 has instant action against bots. Even firefight is kinda annoying. Apart from same old missions in the campaigns, there’s no custom single player or mass scale multiplayer battles to keep me entertained long enough.

Umm Halo 5 infection
