There is no “fast” way. You get it after playing 50 hours of Custom Games.

There is a method where people launch a custom game, hold down the trigger with a rubber band while having bottomless clip on in the game settings, and waiting. It is a tedious method, but the most effortless one nonetheless.

I think you do it by yourself.
To add on to my original post though, please turn off the vibration on it before doing the whole rubber band thing. 50 hours of a vibrating controller banging on a (presumably) hard surface is really going to -Yoink- your controller up.
You could just play customs with people…who knows you might even have fun. The entire purpose of the helmet was to encourage people to play customs, make friends, try out some of the wonderful creations some of the community has created. Looking for a fast or cheap way to do that seems just a bit wrong.
You can also check out the waypoint community customs thread linked in my signature.

I think that impatience can be offset by the variety of gamemodes out there. Smash Pursuit, Splatter Monkey, Speed Halo, and Jenga are great choices if you wanna blow off steam.

Ok,thanks for the tip.
If I remember correctly, you also have to use a time limit in your games. This is to prevent someone from being afk in a custom game for fifty hours straight.

So you mean set it to no time limit, right?
Yes, if you set it to no time limit then it won’t work. I’d have to find the update to confirm that’s what Tom French said, but I think that’s what it was.

Why even do that? If you aren’t actually going to play to earn the helmet, then why even try to get the dang thing anyway? I am so sick and tired of -Yoinks- in any game trying to get special unlockables without doing any work. If you are going to go through the effort to be the laziest person in the world you might as well just play the damn game the way it was meant to be to get the helmet. Besides, it’s probably much healthier for your system if you play games in breaks/sessions up to 50 hours rather than rig something and let your system run for 50 hours straight.

And I am just saying: If you don’t want to actually earn the helmet properly then why even go for it anyway?
