Every single game I’ve played in the Warzone Assault playlist, the defending team always loses. No matter what map, how good you are, if you get placed in the defending team you’re always gonna lose. I honestly have no clue what 343 was thinking when developing this game type, but I’d like to tell them it’s not too late yet. Maybe if that stupid timer doesn’t reset every time they take a base, the defending team will have more of a chance then. Or give more HP to that damn core that seems to be more fragile than an iPhone. Either way, the playlist itself seems very promising if done right. Sometimes I do feel like playing a quick little game of Warzone, and a playlist like Warzone Assault would be perfect for that kind of thing.
The game is fine. I see the defenders win all the time. I think the gamemode plays well, it’s just maps need to be made for the gamemode in mind. Not just cutting out sections of already existing maps.
One of the issues could be people using that exploit causing the attacking team to take the second base first when they shouldn’t, but that’ll get fixed sooner or later…

Getting fixed in December update.
I’ve won as a defender and as an attacker, it’s all about your team. With the correct team you can dominate while defending
343 recently reduced the capture time by 4 seconds because the defending team were winning the majority of games. This is consistent with my experience as well, as a vast majority of wins in the game mode has been when defending. If the teams are equally good, the defending team usually wins, especially when defending the spire or the garage.
Coordinate with your team and you can win.

Yes, in the most recent blog.

Ah thanks, I read through it but must have skipped the little section about it. Very excited about this fix.
fastest req points method ingame, i play it all the time.
I find this odd because I have the exact opposite experience. Like 80% of the time defenders win, even if the attackers take the middle base first. I’ve found I’ve won the vast majority of games on defense, and lost the majority on offence.
I find the opposite, defenders usually win.
I currently don’t play it because they haven’t fixed it yet.
To add some variation in warzone gameplay
I feel the opposite, it’s easier to win games when defending (as long as the enemy team doesn’t cheat)
Warzone Assault is my typical go to playlist and I have found the Attacking Team to win multiple times (without utilising THAT exploit we all know and love). It’s a lot more balanced since 343 decreased Capture time, but I have found it to be more even when I play on either team.
you’re probably getting hit by the armory capture glitch, and/or getting unlucky. In my experience its quite balanced.

Really my experience is that my team always loses regardless.
What’s funny is that I noted it being the other way around, until the armory glitch was discovered.
