And why did we just get it two weeks in a row?
7777 credits? That’s nothing. That’s like two or three games of Firefight. That’s nothing at all. What is even the point of doing the “challenge?” I know no-one cares about Reach anymore, but goodness.
We used to get Weeklies for tens of thousands of credits, and they were actually good challenges, not just “Do this X number of times.”
Please, step your game up with these things. Make them at least worthwhile.
Yeah Reach takes FOREVER to rank up in.

I think thats 343’s doing, I know they cut the credits for completing challenges on h4 by about half because people were hitting 130 in an insanely short time (bout 2½ months for me to hit 130), so I’m assuming they did the same thing here.
The higher rank you are , the more dredits you get per game , in fire fight I average between 6000 to 10000 per firefight MM game, i also work the commendations which give you more points, then worry about completing the challenges for a little extra.
Don’t do them if you don’t think they are worth it. The challenges are randomly chosen by a computer.
If you want more cred. You need to start doing Custom Challenges.
Isn’t it funny how you can’t get any help frm some of these ppl?
Instead you get…“Don’t do them if you don’t think they are worth it”
My advice to you is Custom Challenges. Go to your REACH page and click on challenges
TUTORIAL
I think this tutorial was created BEFORE the changes to Waypoint but it still serves it’s purpose.
I should be hired as a Monitor. At least I can give some sort of help instead of being sarcastic or demeaning.
Good Luck in your challenges
Boosting is laughable. If you do complete a WEEKLY (not custom) challenge, it feels like you actually accomplished something, hence the point of ranking up.
Anyways, the weekly challenges are never worth it based on their credit payout. Unless it is relatively easy to accomplish, or a lot of fun, then I say don’t do it. It is a waste of time, and the credit payouts are rarely, if ever, accurate for the challenge.
And don’t expect 343 to bother listening to our protests. The only Halo they care about is H4. It will be a miracle if they post in the Reach forum ever again.

It’s not as if we can avoid challenges that we get just for playing matchmaking. We’re still going to get the challenges.
We just want it to be rewarding - and that was a pretty lame decision to make randomly generated challenges.
OP, if you are getting bogged down in the Reach grind, enter the Waypoint/Reach codes for a free 100,000 cR and after that do the laser designator campaign commendation boost on Sword Base. (No shame.)

Don’t you have to have CEA for those codes? And already did the designator way back when. I use the 10,000cr custom challenge designator thing every 3 hours on days that I play. In the final stretch from Brigadier to General, fun time.
The whole game’s a grind, just gotta do it I guess. Only 600,000cr. Did a constant grind all week to go from Colonel Grade 1 to Brigadier. I am such a sucker.
