So you know when halo 5 was released??? 2 years ago!! Yeah we haven’t got a new shooter release in 2 years. Although halo 4 came out 3 years before, we need a new halo game by 2018???
I’m expecting halo 6 to come out next year, but if Halo Wars 3 Comes comes out next year I’m going to rage.
I’m a big fan of Microsoft, although they ruined Minecon (sorry to bring Minecraft up. Minecon was Really Childish this year). They might do a sequel in 2018??
Tell me what you think in the comments. I wanna see what you think on this subject.

Two years isn’t that long. If you’re getting bored of your video games after only two years, that’s not 343’s problem. Besides, judging from your service record, it looks like you haven’t even played Halo 5.
You sound surprised that a new Halo hasn’t been released in two years, but Halo has always had a three year development cycle. By this logic it is extremely likely that there will be a new Halo in the later months of 2018. I’m still having a decent amount of fun with Halo 5, and I certainly don’t mind the extra wait to make sure everything is right.
A 3 year release is pretty normal, but I wouldn’t care too much if it didn’t get released until 2019. I only ask that we at least get to see some teaser stuff before then.
Doesn’t seem like we’ll be getting a mainline sequel until 2019 with the current lack of a beta and HCS World Championship continuing until late next year (which wouldn’t be done if a new game were releasing unless they use eSports to advertise it).
I reckon we might see a small spinoff release next year and a new beta is almost certain, but no major releases are going to happen for a while unless there are any unexpected announcements.
There’s this PC project called Installation 01. It’s being developed by fans, it’d be really cool if they put it on the Xbox. But as of right now it’s PC only and probably pretty far off release wise anyways. I’m hoping we get word about Halo 6 soon though. I really want to know when we can expect it. I’ve heard some people say that it might be announced “Fallout 4” style, but I tend to doubt it. 343 said they’d never launch a game without a beta after the MCC if I remember correctly. So maybe they’ll announce the Beta “Fallout 4” style, but I wouldn’t expect that for the game itself.

i’m ok with spacing of games in series it gives the devs more time to make a better game.
never been to minecon, but if you look at it i’m going to say at least 70% of the fan base who plays Minecraft is under the age of 14ish so i think it would be geared ore toward them instead of the more mature gamers who play Halo, Mass Effect, Arma, Battlefield, Dark Souls, Blood Born… ok so the other 99.9.9% of gamers who play everything else. to be totally honest i still play minecraft but not as much as i used to i play more halo and others… the list is too long. but the main point i am trying to say is give 343i as much time as they need, i want another good halo. love what they did for H5 so i want them to do just as well if not better… but 343i needs to bring split screen back.

Well they did tease concept art for HW3… also they have two companies that can develop it. They made a total of seven campaign missions that weren’t available at launch, 70% more missions. They took about half a year make almost 3/4 of a campaign so we wouldn’t have to worry about that. It honestly wouldn’t be too unreasonable for them to have another one soon, but seeing how long it took for HW to get a sequel it most likely will be awhile.

Teasing concept art for a third HW game doesn’t mean its going to come out this year, even if a bunch of campaign missions were cut. Thats for DLC. And half a year to make 3/4 of a game? It takes far longer than that to make an RTS like Halo Wars 2.
Its going to be a while before a third game.
I’m honestly kind of hoping that the Halo game that releases this year is more along the lines of Reach, except set even earlier. Perhaps a story that still has Master Chief as the protagonist, but now we get to see him and Blue Team in their prime. A lot of people might have gone into Halo 5 not knowing anything about Blue Team, and I have no idea how many people even bothered to watch the Fall of Reach series. Blue Team will probably continue to play a large role in Halo 6, so what better way to prime people for that story than to release a prequel that lets players bond with these characters more. And what better way to drift back towards classic Halo gameplay, than to set it at a time when the Mark IV armor was still the current model and lacking the flashy features of future generations, before shields were even a thing.

No, I quite like the idea of returning to a slower more boots-on-the-ground style game and I’ve only had Xbox Live since Reach released. I love the Halo 2 multiplayer and Halo 3s BTB and want to see more in that sense.
What I’m trying to say is that you’re not old. Or old is the new new or something.
