Lately I’ve heard discussions that 343 has canned Spartan Ops, but just two weeks ago, at the Xbox One announcement, they had that little video about Mr. Speiberg’s Halo Television series project… Coincidence? I think not! I think seeing that players liked the storyline behind the missions, but hated the actual missions, but because they loved what they did they wanted to give it one last chance, but in the way that truly gave the plot justice.
Here’s probably how this went down; let’s say during a meeting a guy at 343 went ‘Oh hey, this isn’t doing so well, lets not do this again…’ but then some other guy goes ‘wait! nobody played the maps but look how many players watched the minisodes - hey let’s pitch this to a producer and see what they think!’ PRESTO! INSTANT HALO TV SERIES!
Your thoughts? Is this jumping to conclusions or have I hit it on the nose?

I am someone who enjoyed spartan ops i played with my friends and it made monday the best day of the week. I have over 760 games played of ops. I hope it comes back. If its the tv show that’s fine as well.
Pumped on what all it could be. So glad Halo is going big like this, it’s needed with COD flooding the online these days.
I wouldn’t mind S op characters in the TV show.
S ops had a great story but it was limited to only ten clip scenes and left me feeling like the characters were underdeveloped.
The SIVs could become really interesting characters. I’d love a character that mirrors the community always complaining about camping and such.
The show could also have a real chance at redeeming Palmer’s character.
Do you think Lasky’s actor in FoD would come back for the show? Oh and I want Frank the janitor back with his space mop!
I’d rather have it sometime around the covenant/human wars with the flood so around Halo 2/3. Also remember John 117 isn’t the only spartan alive.
