What is the equivalent of SR-50?

I was just wondering, since the highest rank is SR-50, what would be the equivalent in 3 and Reach?

Would it be General, Field Marshall?

It would be the equivalent to a General IMO. It’s not the max rank because the Specializations have 10 levels each, which according to BS Angel, take as long to max out as getting from SR-40 to SR-50.

SR-130 is equivalent to a Reach Inheritor. That is, you’ve reached SR-50 and maxed out all 8 Specializations.

You can’t compare Halo 4 ranks to Halo 3 ranks. 3 went off a skill based ranked system, 4 and Reach are using non skill based progression.

That’s what I thought, I was only a 38 in 3 but that was because I rarely played ranked.

So will the leveling up be like Reach then where you get credits rather than 3?

This pretty much gives a good idea what to expect in detail.

Though it does sound interesting that skilled players that dominate will gain more exp than those who go afk/quit/get roflBBQstomped. Wish they went into more detail about that and how there is more incentive to play objectives rather than Slayer with flags.

In Halo 4 you get XP, not credits. (Even though they are the same)
I think as your progress you unlock weapons, however you need to buy armour. There are technically 130 Ranks in Halo 4 because of Specializations.

I think SR-50 would be among the likes of General, because there are another 80 ranks to go after 50.

It’s the opposite, Armour auto unlocks, you need to buy weapons/AAs etc.

Also, the difference between xp and cr is; you use cr to buy armour in reach, in 4, xp is only to level up. SP (Spartan Points) is what you use to buy weapons etc.

No you don’t. Armor is unlocked as soon as you reach the appropriate rank, master a Commendation, reach a certain level in a Specialization etc. Please, click the link that i provided and you will see why you are wrong.

“Gameplay items” falls under things like Weapons, Armor Abilities, and Armor Mods (Tactical/Support), which you will need SP (Spartan Points) to buy.

Oh thanks for the heads up! I hate making mistakes. :stuck_out_tongue:

By the looks of things, it’s equivalent to Lieutenant Colonel.

Thanks although just read this…

> The Spartan Point system is based around offering choice at each rank. The full suite of gameplay items is available for purchase by SR-26 but you won’t have enough SP to buy everything until SR-50. It’s up to you to decide the order in which you want to build up the arsenal for your Spartan-IV.

That’s not cool, one of the reasons I stopped playing Reach was because after Field Marshall there was nothing new that unlocked. There wasn’t really an incentive to keep playing on the terrible -Yoink- maps.

Anytime, we all have to be on the same page to avoid confusion. :stuck_out_tongue:

Don’t take mistakes to heart however; mostly everyone makes them them. It’s only human.

Yes, there wasn’t really much incentive to grind past those ranks. I mean, the lower ones had you going for unlocks but then it just became barren @ Field Marshall and up.

With Halo 4, there is a TON of unlocks to look forward to. It’s 10x more than what Reach offered to players. With the added Specialization/Specialisations, i think replayablity on the MP side of things is a non issue.

That’s not even mentioning revamped Commendations, challenges, Spartan Ops etc…

the average sr-50 would be a Field major in halo 3 lol… so sad…

Comparative it looks sad but try and get up there, it will be tough and then after that i base everything on skill for the better you do the faster you willrank up.
