What is the dumbest thing that has happened to you

You know I think that the Halo 5 community has had it’s fair share of stupid moments. What is the dumbest thing that’s happened to you I wanna know.

Suicide by shooting a Selene’s Lance

Halo 5: Believing I was going to get a sick cross-map kill with an Incineration Cannon on a clueless sniper only to have a wall pop up as I let go of RT. Done the same thing with Plasma and Splinter grenades too haha.

Halo 3: Triple-headshotting my friends/teammates with a Beam Rifle while playing Slayer on Snowbound.

I was charging up the incineration cannon to get a triple kill I was going to shoot the get behind the wall for some cover then did suicide

just embarrassing suicides and betrayals

Premature swinging of melee weapons in anticipation of an enemy. Happens every time I use an energy sword, I need to be moving to score kills with them because I suck so much at camping corners

This isnt just for Halo 5: Guardians, but for all Halo games. In every SWAT match, I will automatically reload after every kill. A dumb move, considering that I often get killed in the middle of reloading.

Punched a guy across the map once not joking

I do that too, and it’s just instinct from other game modes don’t worry

Grifball should have been mentioned already

I do the same thing but then get killed lol

I remember something pretty stupid I did. I was playing castle wars and one guy had just entered our base and I threw my plasma grenade high to try and stick him and it bounced of the top of my base and stuck me.

This is the main issue I have with reloading as a game mechanic. A lot of people have an innate desire to not be empty and die mid reload, as a result they reload often and ironically die a lot in the process.

Reloading is kind of a thing we dont think about much but it really has an impact on gameplay

Doom Slayer would like a word with the design team.

If by word you mean a pump of the shotgun

HR: Sniping 3 of my teammates with one bullet :frowning:
H1: Touching a Warthog in Blood Gulch XD
H2: Getting flown out of the map Lockout by some unseen force…
H3: Noob comrade gets stuck by a grenade and jumps in our teams general direction, killing me and my brother UnreadBongo143…
H4: Blowing myself up with an incineration cannon when a wall popped in my way after pulling the trigger :frowning:
H5: Throwing a sticky at someone, only to have a wall appear out of nowhere and the grenade stick me in the face… (In the OG Halos you can’t actually stick yourself but in Halo 5 you can)

I’ve collated teammates, no scoped a teammate to the head across the map(Refuge), but nothing will beat the time I accidentally stuck myself then got assassinated immediately afterwards. Was trying to throw a grenade off the wall to hit the guy chasing me from behind but I had stickies out instead of frags. It stuck to my head and he assassinated me, I call it “kamikaze”.

I agree with you wholeheartedly on the last part. There are times when I get killed in mid-reload when I just think, ‘If only I didn’t reload!’

Personally Im prone to reloading certain weapons more.

Prime example; the shotgun, being the only weapon that reloads every single shot at a time, its got a long reload depending on how many shots you fire so I tend to reload often. This can be detrimental on shotgun heavy modes like infection where the infected dont have that issue.

Thankfully you can cancel the reload process and fire a shot off at the same time if someone does come at you but I dont often live long enough to do that.
