Okay, so I have been playing ranked arena for about 3 days now and I keep on getting matched with the same 30 players or so. I get that nowadays maybe the playerbase has declined but its a bit weird that no matter what time I play on, its still the same people.
While thats fine if it where fair matchups, but I’m platinum 2 atm and the people I keep getting on the enemy team are contenders, diamonds and onyx…
And to make matters worse I also tend to get the non PTFO dudes when I get higher rank players on my team. Anything I can do against these matchups or do I just have an insane amount of bad luck :’/
I think the new ranking system has players very disgruntled and aren’t playing near as much ranked. I have only ever ranked in FFA. Years ago I could rank up as I did well. Now you have to fight tooth and nail to go up but get knocked back A LOT when you lose. Lately after I play my placement matches I pretty much stop playing. There is no point. After placement matches where I am ranked it seemed like I couldnt go up and could easily go down. I would rather just stick to the soical and more fun playlist. Not to mention the most competitive players seem to think the only skill in Halo should be ability with precision weapons so ranked play is now just a pistol fest. I like using more weapons so another reason to stick to soical stuff.
Could be due to population, the servers you play on and the time of day that you play. The easiest way to match different people is to change the time that you play since those people likely play during the same hours as you.
