It helps you land faster. Also i use it sometimes to avoid the OP cannon’s aoe blast.
If you’re being shot at you can dash out of the way into cover… it’s actually really helpful in keeping you alive. I’ve seen many people start loosing a battle and dash behind the nearest cover, or just dash to either side and make them miss a few shots. Then possibly giving you the ability to win the fight.

Dodging! See okay I knew I wasn’t thinking of something.
People should use for for a few games, like 10 or so to see the benefit of it. It is the only AA I have used and is my most favorite of them all!
Not only does it let you land faster, but it also allows you to recover and begin shooting faster than if you had been sprinting.
It’s also great for mid air directional changes, including but not limited to:
Thrust is an AA that has an incredible potential, it doesn’t just serve one simple purpose, but it can be game changing with some practice.
You can use it to avoid the hard-landing slowing effect, cancel gravity lift effects and dodge incoming vehicles trying to splatter you (remember to thrust toward an obstacle or a wall and not just away from the vehicle).
