What is the best way to rush in 1v1?

Warthogs? Hornets? Marines? Tanks?

Don’t let these options limit you, just say what you think is the best way to rush on halo wars in 1v1 even if it isn’t in the suggestions I just said.

Warthogs all the time, unless you’re against an Arby.
You should build Hogs anyway, even if you’re not rushing.

So, cue up a Hog at the start, then go grab some supplies with your already existent one. Go Supply Pad x 2, and then Reactor. By the time your Reactor’s up, you should have 4 Hogs on the field. Cue up Gunner, and then head over to their base. Once Gunner’s done, if you’re doing well, then build 1 more Hog. If they’ve got too many turrets, then go take an expo with your Hogs, or capture a hook.

If you are doing well, however, once you get your 2nd Reactor up, cue up Grenadier. Once you’ve got to the point where you’ve got 4 or more Gunner Warthogs (Yeah, I mean Gunner, they don’t have to be Grenadier) on their base and they’ve got nothing out to defend, then you’ve won.

Remember, spread your Hogs out for line of sight, make sure you know what’s going on around you. Also keep them spread so you don’t get MAC’d/Carpet Bombed. If they have Hogs too, then try to catch them before they’ve got Gunner. If you can’t do that, then whenever you engage their Hogs, then run away. You’re more accurate if you’re running away with Hogs than you are if you’re chasing.

Against Covy, then you should still go Hogs, but just make sure you ram anything that they try to put through their Teleport/Elevator thing. Still, don’t let turrets up or shields for that matter. Once again, as long as you’ve got 4 Hogs on their base, then you’ll be outdamaging them by miles, so you’ll win.

Against Arby, it’s better to play defensively with Flamers and Marines. Still build an extra Hog at the start so you can grab more supplies/kill their Ghost/ram the Suicide Grunts. Once you’ve defended against the Arby, send your Marines/Flamers over to his base to counterattack, or use them to take Hooks first.

In reality each map means you have to play differently, so it’s a lot more complex than what I’ve put down, but this is the basics to Hog rushing.

It’s hard at first, but so’s riding a bike. After enough practice, you’ll start doing most of this stuff without realising/thinking about it.

The best way to rush is with quick grenadier with Anders. This will beat about 85% of the people who play this game, even if they build a couple of turrets early on. The majority of people that play this game are absolutely terrible!

The way I do it is SP, SP, R, R with 5 hogs in total. Once I have started researching grenadier I then cancel my second reactor and put up a supply pad. I usually also have enough money to upgrade one of my pads. When grenadier hits I then go and kick -Yoink- at their base while building more hogs and upgrading my other supply pads. Turrets go down easily as well as gunner hogs and supply pads. The strategy does require you to be very efficient at collecting supplies from the map. I usually start at their side and work my way backwards.

When you play against the top 15% you will usually find that they are ready for you, however, even the best players can still fall victim to this strategy. Against the best, I would usually use legit strats, but if I play a series against the same player, I like to have the quick grenny in my back pocket, just to catch them out.
