Either 5 or 3…
Halo Ce. The Campaign is a bit on the mediocre side, but the Multiplayer is the pinnacle of the series. Strafing while leading shots with your big iron old west style is such a unique kind of game that sadly was only slightly replicated in Halo 3, and will probably never be replicated again. Aside from that movement was quick, map design was professional, grenades could be thrown far and accurate instead of bouncing all over, melee was a lot deeper and more interesting to use, power ups were actually meaningful, BTB had a constant exchange of vehicles that felt balanced, and so on.
It makes me sad that such a unique and fun game is doomed to be forgotten.
Halo CE. A classic that can’t be beat.

In my opinion, Reach was mediocre compared to the others.
Reach is the one I played the most multiplayer so I vote reach.
That’s an incredibly difficult question to answer, and which you must subject to… well, subjectivity. Personally, I feel that Halo: CE has the best overall multiplayer, the best custom games, (PC edition, that is. Playing modded game types like Zombies and Cops N’ Robbers was a blast.) and the best levels to take place on a Halo ring. In the way of Theater, I feel that Halo 3 is the best. Halo 4 has a fantastic storyline. ODST has a great soundtrack and a great storyline. Halo 2 has a good storyline when it comes to the Arbiter, and good gameplay when it comes to Chief. Halo 5 has a great competitive multiplayer and is very immersive. However, Reach, I feel, is the overall best. It has excellent Forge, good Theater, the best Firefight, a good campaign, the best version of the Brutes, good multiplayer and the greatest customization. The only things I dislike about Reach would be that BTB sucks, bloom has cost me a few close-range battles, and I cared very little about most of the characters, with the exception of Noble 6.
Gotta give it to ODST. Great campaign and soundtrack that beat H3 while still coming with H3s great multiplayer and the map packs, plus it introduced firefight. Too bad it wasnt on the list.
You’re gonna start the biggest Halo forum rumble with this question xD
How is halo 3 winning? Take off your nostalgia goggles. The campaign was garbo and so was multiplayer.

I enjoyed Halo 3 for both campaign and multiplayer. I thought it was a pretty awesome entry.
Halo: CE 4 lyfe
Halo: CE 4 lyfe
Best campaign by far, and dat 3-shot Magnum
Halo CE is best, just a simple fact of life
I love Halo Reach, it was a lot of fun in that game, customs, multiplayer, forge, theater, customization, campaign, firefight, daily/weekly challenges, cool ranks, weapons, graphics, gameplay, etc.
But I spent much more time playing H3, that campaign with the Arbiter/Chief was just beautiful, and also, customs, forge and multiplayer was amazing too, the playlists were much better than any other halo games, and I could play that game all day, something that only happens with H3, Reach and ODST…
Reach was my Jam.
Halo 3. Best package. including some of the best MP maps ever made like guardian, pit, narrows and Construct.
