What is the bare minimal you need to do to finish campaign?

Pretty much self explanatory.

With this game being switched to a semi open world type of Halo I need to know what is the bare minimum I need to do on the map to progress in the campaign quickly.

Can I just go mission to mission like a normal Halo game Or do I have to take over FOBs first then go do a mission?

I’m guessing the other stuff like save Marines destroy the towers and the cores/lockers are optional Along with the HVTs.

So far you can just walk to the objectives in a minute or two. The ai is bad enough that you can face down a whole facility with little worry. I left behind marines immediately and ignored the warthog. This is heroic, but I’m hearing legendary isn’t much harder.

Capture FOBs, clear strongholds, basically the main objective on your tac map and anything associated with it. That other stuff is optional, yeah.
