Out of everyone who plays Halo Reach matchmaking, what would you say the overall average K/D is? I’ve been wondering this for a while, and based on my own experience and statistic analysis, I’ve come to believe it’s in the neighborhood of 0.65, But what do you think?
About 0.80 i think.
Unless you count Banshee spawncamping, then it’s 75.
Back when halo charts was running they had stats that averaged out the community. K/D was 1.28.
Well for every kill there is also a death. This should mean that the average K/D is 1, but there are guests whose stats are not tracked. If we assume that, on average, guests tend to have negative K/D spreads due to a lack of experience then our average XBL player would have a K/D a little over 1.0.
Though I feel like a better statistical measure of the K/D of the average Halo player would be a median rather than a mean.
I think the average is in the .70s

What about suicides? I think betrayals count as deaths. However, you will kill a guest more often than betraying someone or killing yourself, so I’d say the overall K/D is about 1.05-1.1. The guys who the game commonly puts on my team are another story though *sigh
Not sure, but I think those that come to forums have a higher K/D then those that dont. Most likely due to their dedication to the game.
If you take a mean, then the average k/d will always be above 1. Because you cant have a negative ratio, the lowest you can go is 0, while their is no limit on how high your k/d can be. The people with extremely high k/d skew the average above a 1.
I think the average Kill/Death ratio is between 1-1.25.
No idea, and it really doesn’t matter to me though.
average is around 1.10, the majority of players in matchmaking barely pull positive.
Mine is a 1.96 overall average. It really depends on the playlist. It helps having over a 2 or 3.0 k/d in a lot of playlists.
Probably a tiny bit over 1, think of the amount of guests that go negative.
IMO anything below 1. is bad. Just saying. But yeah overall average is probably below 1.
There is not an average K/D. It is more skill than anything. Just staying positive is great!
Players who don’t play Living Dead frequently - 0.8, that’s about the average.
Mean or Median average?
Logically the overall K/D of all Halo players must be below 1.00 because for every kill there is a death, then factor in betrayals and suicides.

I play team slayer, BTB, MLG, TO and multi team and my K/dD is 2.29.
