What is the Arena Onyx symbol you get in Ranked? In every season as I understand it you are rewarded with an emblem for making it to Onyx division by the end. Its always a redesign of this glyph symbol that resembles an uppercase “A.” That kind of “A” looking glyph. What is it from/of?
343, we demand answers!
I’m not sure I follow… Do you mean where did the idea for the onyx symbol come from?
:?
Maybe OP is referring to the seasonal ranking emblems? They do have a stylized A on them.
Yeah, the seasonal ranking emblems. If you make Onyx you get an emblem and it is always a redesign of a glyph that resembles an “A.” To warm up your shot there is a Forge Map called Octagon that goes back to Halo 3. Anyways I saw an Octagon map where the tiles of the wall even had the same “A” glyph and I was just wondering what it was based off of.
Its so frustrating they give us this stuff and nobody knows or understands what in the heck it is lmfao. I’ve spent a long time looking on the internet about why I’m supposed to be excited for it. And nobody understands why 343 thought that would be so cool. I think it has something to do with the Cartographer.

The glyph is just the symbol for Arena game modes, I believe. Well, as long as the symbol on the green card is what you are referring to.
Isn’t it just a rank badge? :?
Idk I rank onyx and i don’t get different emblems? Or do i?
I always thought the ‘A’ stood for Arena.
