I pre-ordered this game, played it for a week and have yet to return until all the bugs were fixed. Ever since hearing the servers were improving, I just got on after a couple months without playing this game. Here’s what I found:
-Matchmaking still taking WAY TOO LONG: In the time it has taken to write this post, it has been sitting here searching for over 2 hours now. No joke. I left to run an errand while my brother played. Came back, still searching for players. How is it that a game that has a bigger community of players than CoD and Destiny combined still have the worst search times? It’s like I’ve been banned from multiplayer. My friends can get into games within the first minute or two just fine, even when I join their session and they’re the ones hosting. I’ve played around 3 matches or so with them, another 4 by myself. But it’s to the point where I can’t even find a match. I’m running around 1GB per second on OPEN NAT. It couldn’t be my connection. I played the Halo 5 beta just fine, but can’t play MCC online. WHAT’S THE DEAL HERE!? I paid $60 for a game that pretty much doesn’t even have multiplayer.
-Achievements haven’t even unlocked: I can’t seem to unlock certain achievments, even though it says it has been completed. I don’t know if this is MCC’s problem or the Xbox itself…
-Armor customization?: This is annoying in a way. What happened to all the armor customization? I get Halo 1 being just color customization and Halo 2 added species, but for Halo 3 and 4, it just shows all the armor permutations as one class. Kind of a middle finger to those that worked hard in getting the RECON armor for Halo 3 or pre-order bonus for the FOTUS armor in Halo 4. What’s the deal with that? I’ll tell you. Laziness. Couldn’t add the permutations for 2 games? Couldn’t import our stats/armor for the previous games?
-Halo 3: ODST and Halo Reach REMAKES!?: I have been told from a close friend that 343i were going to drop ODST and Reach as free bonuses with the game due to all the matchmaking issues… This was supposed to happen last month. I don’t know the details other than hearing that they were going to drop. He didn’t know the date, but he assumed they’d drop in March. Where are the games? I would really like to at least get more for my money than it has already given me.
-Spartan Ops: The only thing that seems fun anymore, aside from completing all 4 campaigns on legendary, AND finding all glitches in all 4 campaigns, AND getting the majority of achievements…
I don’t think there is anymore, but I think the main problem is matchmaking. JUST FIX IT! I thought DICE took forever fix the servers on BF4, but was still faster at fixing them over this game. This game should have been released MUCH LATER than what it did. You probably already have less to worry about than fixing these servers. What can I do to fix the problem on my end, since I can’t seem to find a valid reason why it would be on my end in the first place…
