In my opinion infinity is horrible. Why anyone would like unbalanced gameplay is unthinkable. I see many threads about how Halo 5 should have infinity settings and classic settings but why do that when classic is far superior. It’s clear many people hate infinity. I do not think it should return.
Custom loadouts are favoured and they’re balanced except for the obvious flaws

It needs tweaking that’s all and removing the boltshot and lowering the grenade count to one and PP.
Change for the sake change. i.e. noob-friendliness i.e. catering to the people that play Halo for a week then drop it
I think that the idea of being able to have powerups and power weapons delivered right to you is appealing for some players.
Nothing is appealing about Infinity settings or Halo 4 gameplay in general, which is why I’ve stopped playing Halo 4. It’s quite sad, really.

It’s only appealing to people who are extremely bad at the game and refuse to play it a little and actually get good at it. So basically people who are spoiled and need everything handed to them rather than learning to do it them selfs.

That sounds like an Action Sack gametype that most people would complain about since it’s just a noob-friendly version of Slayer.
Honestly, either have B.U.N.G.L.E. settings replace Infinity or something akin to Reach’s set loadouts that worked really well for gametypes like Invasion.

Thankfully its a minority.

I hope so.
My fear is that 343 will see that Infinity Slayer and Big Team Infinity Slayer are consistently the most popular playlists and think that Infinity should be in the majority of matchmaking in their next game.

Eh so I’m apparently bad because I prefer certain settings. Well that certainly changes things.
The only thing appealing about Infinity Slayer is well… Nothing…
Having frequent, inconsistent gameplay that tries to copy other franchises like CoD while at the same time, tripping over it’s own heavy flaws in balance is rarely appealing to the average person. And the only reason why BTIS is the most popular is because it is at the top of the list…
Believe it or not, the position of something on a list will certainly effect on how many people will see it and instinctively jump onto the bandwagon. Consider it a marketing technique within the menus.

Give 343 more credit than that.
the problem with loadouts is that “balancing” weapons and perks only removes what people liked about loadouts in the first place. Who would want to use a DMR/Carbine if they are just other skins of the BR?

I resent that.
But whatever, Halo 2 master race and all that. I am unworthy.

Okay, so why don’t you refute his post instead of being dramatic? Odds are some sort of understanding might occur.
The only thing that I liked about the Infinity Settings that you could choose with what primary weapon you want to spawn. ( BR, AR, LR, Carbine…).
Ordnance drops ruined everything. They are completely random, unfair and uncompetitive. The think i Hated most was, that there were nearly no pick up weapons. The most maps didnt even have snipers when Halo 4 was released.
Well perks… don´t find them gamebreaking but we don´t need them at all.
armor Abilities… I like the idea of having them as an ordnance drop, but only because I doubt 343i wants to take out ordnance drops or AA. So that´s the best way to implement this sh*t.

And maybe instead of going out of your way you contradict those who disagree with you, you could step in when one of your own goes too far.
Anyway, he flammed and generalized anyone who likes Infinity. Because I have a different opinion than him, I am automatically “extremely bad at the game”. And I’m not. I’m decent at the game.

I can’t speak for anyone but myself, and I certainly wouldn’t call goobot one of my own. All I can do is say what I think is right, hope people agree with me or intelligently challenge my views, and convince others or, if need be, alter my views to something objectively better.
I understand he may have flamed and insulted you without thinking through what he really meant. Now, can you explain why you prefer Infinity settings(Which give players access to Custom Loadouts w/ perks, AA’s, Primary & Secondary weapon and Grenade slots; Don’t have standard weapon map pickups; Shows all players where the Ordnance/Power Weapons are; and deliver Power Weapons, Grenades, and Power Ups to players via Personal Ordnance) as opposed to Traditional settings which don’t offer any of those things? Since you deem yourself as a “decent” player, why do you like gameplay with Personal Ordnance, as it is a rather unpopular feature that rewards players with unpredictable weapons that can completely change the flow of a match?
AAs and loadouts can work if they’re perfected through the communities suggestions since their removal would ruin multiplayer for some in the same way that people who like classic didnt get what they wanted in halo 4. To be perfectly honest the only big problems that arent opinions with custom loadouts are being able to spawn with the boltshot and plasma pistol/ grenades, other than that they’re almost perfectly balanced except for the BR being OP now.
