As many of you know, Halo 3 has recently encountered two significant bugs/glitches in only the past week.
A few days ago, Halo 3 began to take a much longer time to load information from XBox Live.
As of 9/21/18 the XP progression system stopped functioning. You can no longer gain or lose XP. I do not know if this affects skill ranks but I imagine it does. Until (or if) this is fixed, your total XP, overall rank, playlist ranks, and most likely your skill level are all frozen.
Maybe 343/Microsoft are working out some problems in the outdated net code and plan to release an update that will polish Halo 3 in time for its 11th Anniversary.
Or Halo 3’s original online service will be disconinued, a frightening possibility for many regular players like myself and others.
I really hope it isn’t the online servers being taken down. I know it is probably inevitable at some point but I wanted Halo 3 to never go down. It will be a sad day for sure.

I honestly don’t think that would be the case. When the original Xbox Live servers were shut down, it was announced months before hand to let people know to go and dust off their old games for one last online experience. Microsoft will do the same thing with the Xbox 360 servers.
As for the issues, hopefully they’ll be addressed at some point

considering 95% of the good games on xbox are on the 360, i dont think they will rush to shut down live for the 360,the xbox one is trash and most halo players have moved to ps4 for next gen gaming,if microsoft end the 360 then the xbox is pretty dead as a whole.
I think i was first or second to report on the xp bug and its dangers, but if we can get some more classic halo 3 players to commend hopefully the fix will be sooner
