What is most important for Halo 6?

As far as Halo 6, what do you want?

I personally love the gameplay (although I know some don’t, relax, this is an opinion piece). We can assume that 343 will likely keep the gameplay mostly the same, except maybe remove Spartan Charge, as I’ve seen a lot of recent backlash against it.

For Halo 6 (again, imo), I would like to see them basically leave the gameplay alone (why mess with a good thing), and focus on these (in order):

  1. Campaign writing
The Halo 5 campaign left something to be desired (not horrible, but not good, just more middle-of-trilogy syndrome), and I hope they can fix that with a solid focus on the story. Get everything right with this one.
  2. All gametypes in MP at launch
    This one is self-explanatory.
  3. Maybe split-screen?
I feel like this may be nearly impossible. As most people know, once you go 1080p/60fps, you never go back. Where this leaves us is a lot of engine optimization in order to get two perspectives to run at 1080p/60fps on the Xbox One, which has limited processing power, even in comparison to the PS4. Certainly against a PC.

Any thoughts on my thoughts, or other ideas as to what is most important for Halo 6?

I think you nailed it my friend. Split screen is pretty damn important. This and forge is what truly separates halo from other FPSs

No matter what debates the community has had, the biggest was probably the lack of content at launch for Halo 5. I totally understand if they don’t have ALL game modes ready at launch for Halo 6. But they need the cores…social AND competitive. BTB. SWAT. Objective. And a couple of fun ones, like Grifball or Infection.

Also forgot about things like file share and Forge as far as being missed content. These need to be included at launch.

And I think they nailed forge this time around. I think if you ask the big forgers they’ll say the same thing.

no req packs. Go back to how armor was unlocked in Reach.

No microtransactions, unless they’re specifically like in Destiny where you can purchase extra cosmetic junk on the side which doesn’t affect gameplay.
