What is it?

So I hear and read a lot about how people want “social playlists” how there are none and I just want to know what these “social playlists” and why these players can’t just play arena playlists?

I agree with youostly but i would say that I like my ranks and when i played solo those players playing casually ony team have often caused my team and me to lose. This ruined my ranks. I would argue that ranked arena is not good for social or competitive players playing ranked for that reason. Thats why spartan companies are so important for team games, especially with no party up option.

I would guess people would like the halo 3 system of ranked and unranked playlists, but i do agree that if this is the case people have not communicated this well at all. People wanting cadial gametypes have not been clear how they want it done.

Most of the people who want social play lists think that they’re something other than what they really are. They think that social means playing without skill-based matchmaking and that they’ll get to crush noobs in game after game. They don’t realize that social play lists have always used SBMM and that they are and were only ever a place to play without putting your visible ranks at risk. People think “social” means “casual.” It doesn’t, but that’s why most of them want it.

That’s what I thought it was. Just wanted too be sure though. Its a playlist a games that don’t put your rank at risk. So if that’s the case I don’t agree with the social playlist. There’s no reason why people can’t play ranked. If they’re scares of being placed against stronger players then that should be more incentive to get ranked and play against players closer to your skill. I think people also need to get that you aren’t going to win every game. You aren’t meant to. That’s not saying don’t try but people need to realize that you WILL not win every game. Social playlists won’t change that. Might as well just practice and get better like everyone else
