I can aim just fine in any other Halo game. But in this game, my aiming is just all over place, and no matter how much I fiddle with the sensitivity I can’t seem to get it to work.
WTF happened? Is it just me? Why can I aim just fine in all the games in the MCC but in Halo 5 it’s just off?
Ugh yes it is so annoying. I am all for evolving the game but it shouldn’t feel like a completely different game. Playing MCC then 5 feel like polar opposites. It feels like every other shooter now and it’s so disappointing. If 343 can’t keep halo in like then please pass the torch

Your not alone bro.
Turrets are too 100% accurate. Advice with BR, don’t aim.
I used to not notice it but when I didn’t play for a week or two I suddenly notice it and it is so difficult to aim correctly… We need the classic aiming feel back, it can’t be that hard…

They changed to aiming because of the competitive crowd that dwell inside of 343 Industries. The pros who work for the company are the ones for the change, they felt it to be necessary to make the game competitive I believe but why do that when they could have simply left the aiming the way it was meant to stay and just alter the aim assist and bullet magnetism?
Don’t fix something that was NEVER broken to begin with.

Yes but 343 should have just never touched the aiming mechanics and just altered the aim assist and bullet magnetism if they wanted it to be competitive.
its not that bad after you get used to it…to me personally i don’t actually notice the difference. if anything all they did was decrease the aim assist…but nothing you cant get used to. people just need to realize halo 5 ISNT halo 2 or 3 or any of the old ones. if that was the case 343 wouldnt have made this game…if u want 343 to go back to the old halos then go and play MCC. people always complain…if 343 kept everything in the old halo games and all they did was add new armor/maps, thats simply just a DLC. do u know how easy that is instead of making a new game? people need to accept the fact that this is NOT the old halo anymore.

I don’t think you understand the point here. Not saying the aiming is bad but it is an issue for others. The whole turning and aiming scheme 343 did wasn’t needed. The aiming in previous Halo’s and EVEN the beta were the same but 343 felt it needed to change anyways which in fact it didn’t need it to cater to the competitive field. The pros who work for 343 thought it was the right choice to do when clearly listening to the pros really isn’t the best action to take. I understand that 343 wanted to make the game competitive but there are other ways to make it competitive than changing things that simply. don’t. need. it. Plain and simple.

This isn’t about wanting Halo 5 to be like previous Halo games so much as it is more about, WHY change the aiming in this game from the beta? No reason to change it after all these years. But even if they did want to put their own spin on it, for many gamers, it simply isn’t an improvement. If they changed it to cater to the Pro gamers, fine, but they need to realize that not everyone plays Halo for it’s Pro Competitive style. Some play it just to kick back and have fun and not try to be as competitive as those playing for $$$ in The HCS.
This has nothing to do with “Make Halo 5 like Bungie’s Halos”. People are simply asking WHY they felt the need to change the aiming, and if possible, will we be able to change it back to how it’s been and how it’s worked for years in the next update.

I didnt play arena for the longest time because I felt my BR was so off, and I just thought it was because I havent played a lot of Halo since 3.
I still feel my aiming is not what it should be (not witht he settings, but with me) but I finally decided to go into arena after I figured I am not getting much better. I never lost so many 1v1 br battles in my life, lol
