It’s not a combat simulator.
It’s not a bad–Yoink- certification program.
It’s not superiority complex therapy.
It’s not a dance trainer.
It’s not a jumping jackrabbit fantasy.
If it’s not fun for you, stop playing, and find something you actually enjoy playing.
Don’t just keep playing.
And hide half the game only playing when someone passes, to get away with playing as little as possible, while still getting a good performance.
Don’t do a limited looking dance, or jump up and down like a jackrabbit every time someone gets the upper hand, to escape from taking hits the easy way. Don’t try to get out of having to deal with part of the game, just because you can’t take not being superior to other players.
It’s a game. That you play. For fun.
DOESN’T ANYONE PLAY FOR FUN ANYMORE!?
I mean. I can play that way: excessive amounts of hiding, dancing back and forth like I’m having a seizure, jump up and down over and over. I’ve tried it. It’s not really that hard. It’s just not fun. It’s boring. I want to be able to play continuously, with some real/normal dodging, and enjoy playing the game. For the gameplay, not for the “joy of winning” alone.

It seems to me you had a bad game that you played today with players doing those exact strategies that you listed. No need to get all angry at the players that outplayed you and then turning around and insisting that people shouldn’t do those things.
If it’s just a game, then you shouldn’t get all angry with how players play the game then.

I said that i play to win but that doesn’t mean that i’m camper, in fact i am not, i’m more of a competitive guy who goes run and gun.

Well, the problem is, after playing for a few hours, I didn’t have one match that was really all that fun. Every game I played was ruined by this behavior. Even when I won, most of the fun was sucked out of it by this behavior. I’m worried about the possibility of Halo 4 being ruined by this problem, you know. I may just never play Reach again, but I’d hate to give up on my favorite game like that.
Nobody treats it as just a game anymore, that’s the problem. Everybody’s all hardcore and “I must look superior to everyone else at all costs”. If I’m not in a hardcore mood, I don’t have the option of relaxing and playing just for fun. Everybody pays lip service by saying, “it’s just a game, calm down.” But nobody actually acts or treats it like it’s just a game. Empty words are empty words, people can’t just say it. Without the actions to back it up, it doesn’t mean anything. It’s not an excuse for your behavior, it’s supposed to actually mean something. You know what I mean?
Flawed logic. EVERYONE plays games for fun. However, we (competitive players) have fun winning and playing smart instead of pressing a button and watching a character fly 30 feet in the air.
Matt, I play only to benefit my clip reel. If I can make someone look like a total -Yoink- in a game, I dont give a crap if I go -2 or -10. I only play for the lulz. Now when 4 launches, it’s go time. Shady tactics, hiding, heavy team playing, never searching alone only to benefit my K/D. Winning, only winning.
WINNING AT A VIDEO GAME IS THE ONLY, THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS IN LIFE!
no, i kid actually, seriously though, I dont think some of these kids read what they type, EVAR!
I will play a ton of campaign and S.O. probably a fair amount of MP but still, just for the lulz.

Yeah, you don’t get it. You only hear what you want to hear I guess.
It’s having fun from the “joy of winning” without enjoying the actual gameplay (you) v.s. enjoying the gameplay itself (me).
You don’t play to have fun, you play to win. You then get your “fun” from the “joy of winning” you get from every kill and win. You fight for instant kills because you don’t want to spend time fighting other people, as you don’t enjoy playing. You want to get the “high” of winning from an instant kill and move on to the next victim as quickly as possible to maintain your high.
I know right the jumpers on reach get to me all the time. I run around feet firmly on the ground and manage to kill and yet you turn a corner to find a rabbit jumping towards you. I thought we were spartans? not rabbits.
Its a huge problem in swat almost evry game has one of these no skill players in.
