What is Halo missing?

I’ve been an avid Halo player ever since its release. I’ve overcome many of the previous short comings the previous games have had and do like the advancements made in this version. However, one of my favorite things about Halo 3 (I didn’t have XBL during the Halo:Reach era so don’t know if this is a recent change or not) was downloading racetracks and playing around with friends. With the new advances in Forge I was drooling over what kind of track I could put together. First chance I had to put this to work was when I gutted Haven and made the track go through the innerworkings and even a jump over the tower in the middle. When almost completed, I noticed that there is no VIP mode in Halo 4 so I cannot create the “race” gametype like in the previous Halos. So that brought me to my question, is there anything you guys would tweak to make this version better?

Bungie’s Immaturity ofcourse, what do you think?

-Covies speaking in English
-character development for supporting cast and antagonist
-more enemy classes. Prometheans only have 3

-boss battles (was a highlight of epicness for me, even if it was badly done I was still inspired to try and break it. Also interesting to note is that if 343 Guilty Spark kills the Chief, he won’t attack Arby at all. And if Chief dies before the fight, he’ll attack Arby instead. With the Didact fight, I can’t do anything except what the screen says… that’s just plain stupid)

-difficulty differences (nowadays, they just give an already existing Elite a power weapon instead of throwing in some new badasses. Also, every QTE plays out the same and on Legendary, you’re forced to sit around and listen as if you were on Easy. The Legendary ending’s only difference is some of Chief’s face is shown)

-more enemy variety. Every enemy behaves the same, they have the base AI for their race. Battlewagons are just Knights with a stronger gun, more armor, and 1 single new ability. It’d have been better to disarm them so they could have an unique fighting style

a fan base who plays the game.

Forklifts.

That’s a damn good question OP, I wish we all knew the answer to that ambiguous question. Halo is missing a number of things, first of all 343 isn’t Bungie and although they are trying really hard to bond with old fans and some new, it’s kinda like the relationship that a stepfather has with a stepson or daughter, although the bond may grow very strong, it will never be the same as it was with the real father. 343 are trying really hard to please the community and I think that the community should also try a little harder, there are many things about Halo that need to change in order for it to fully rejuvenate.

But it’s not going to happen in one month, maybe not even in the first game. Small things like the way Halo aesthetically looks to an extent, i’m talking weapons, armor, vehicles environments wildlife and much more. For example the UNSC, it would be great if they went for a more futuristic look for them, like the ancient humans in the terminals (PIC1 PIC 2 PIC 3), or even the way humans look in Bungie’s new game Destiny (PIC 1 PIC 2) Even embracing more extravagant designs like they did with the Concept art would be great too. Small things like those can make a big difference in a game.
