For a quick overview, Halo Insider is an opt-in program that allows you to test experimental game changes and pre-release game builds that haven’t yet been made available to the general player base.
This allows you to test various Halo games for stability, identify bugs/glitches so that the developers can fix them before the game releases (as is the case for the MCC on PC and, in future, Halo Infinite) or before the game receives an official update, and provide feedback on different changes and how they’ve been implemented.
Overall it’s very similar to closed beta testing.
