I swear I cannot play a rumble pit or infinity slayer game from the start today. It’s insane. Didn’t they say they would tweak the window? I am soo tired of JIP. I want to go in a playlist and find other players to play with and select maps.
SOOOO TIRED OF JIP. MAKE IT STOP. EVERY GAME IT IS MAKING ME JOIN A HALF FINISHED GAME. I HATE IT.

Same here, JIP is the most limited thing in the game, even with the 60 sec window it’s a bad idea, in 60 seconds the other team can control power weapons!, to make it worse, 343i is taking TOO DAMN LONG to release said update.
A quick tip, when you see that you have joined to a game in progress open spartan hub, network settings then choose “My Xbox” then again “Xbox Live” and start a new search, it’s the only way to deal with JIP for now.

Yeah I do that trick all the time. Sometimes I’m distracted though while I’m waiting and I look back to find it’s placing me in a game. Ugh

Yeah, I have to check constantly too, it’s just annoying that 343i is taking forever to fix this.
Quinn told me during an exchange w him last evening JIP window adjustment would go live today. You enter matches right near the beginning if it occurs. Worked fine for me, I was either in fresh matches, or entered matches one kill in. Check his twitter if you feel like seeing it for yourself.
Anytime I JIP I join the losing team and lose!
Why couldn’t there be a JiP for Campaign?

I can understand JiP for BTB and Infinity Slayer, but it SHOULD NOT EXIST IN REGICIDE OR RUMBLE PIT. Those are FREE FOR ALL gametypes!!!

It shouldn’t exist in Grifball either. Once I JIP’d into a Grifball game were my team was being spawnkilled.

As much as I do not favor JiP, I do prefer it than just sitting in the “looking for players” limbo that happened during low populations of older Halos. Yes, it does suck having to JiP under many circumstances, but after the match is done, just stay with the current players and you’ll more than likely get into a fresh game.
Again, I do not prefer JiP due to joining a more than likely predetermined game, but I do prefer it over just sitting around waiting for what could possibly be a long time to get into a match due to low populations of certain, if not all, playlists.
I seem to be getting JiP more often than usual today in Regicide, and that playlist’s numbers were actually higher than normal today (higher than Rumble Pit, in fact). Maybe they messed something up with the matchmaking update…
Maybe the population wouldnt be so low if certain things didn’t frustrate players into leaving

A good number of them though - 36 of your last 88 games (~40%).
(+12 Custom Games takes this to a 100 game sample)
I got pulled into a match earlier where the score was 820-0. How are we supposed to turn that around. The worst part is that it gives people more incentive to just leave. It becomes a never ending cycle of unbalanced matchmaking. Just look at the low population as a result, it’ll only get worse if 343 doesn’t get a grasp of the problem. I really miss bungie at this point.
JiP was for the lonely guy that had his team mates quit in BTB or Team Slayer.

OT: Yeah, I massively disagree with JIP. It’s one of my only peeves with the game
