what is considered a good player

well we all the ranking system is really horrible in this game i mean you can get placed into oxyx in team slayer if your teams keeps winning however i normally play free for cause i feel as if that is the only one that has any skill but then again i could be wrong im on the verge to being in oxyx again this month in ffa. however what is considered a good player cause i dont really know what criteria people would have to consider you a good player

Bro that’s subjective, you don’t need the game to tell you you’re good at it. All it should do is keep track if your performance, i.e kills, medals, statistics.

I guess a good way to tell is by someone’s cohesion of the game’s physics. Like how accurate they are during tense situations, how effectively they can engage multiple targets and general survivability. For example when confronted by a vehicle do they get cover or try to out shoot it with a BR, that kind of crap. Some guys can turn engagements around on the fly, someone gets the drop on em and they just turn on a dime and plow through the attacker.

Kind of an off the wall question really dude, I’m like half asleep right now and I’m kinda nodding off. What made you want to ask this question?

The ranking system works fine. People get mad because they won 9/10 games and got placed gold, but if you lost your 1 game to platinums and had a 1.0 k/d against gold players should you be placed in diamond? The ranking system isn’t horrible.

The player who has scored many points in multiple gamemodes and won a majority of their games.

I guess I can say it’s relative. I’m 62 years of age, and I presume if I’m mostly playing against teenagers, I consider myself a good player even if I lose more than half my matches. You want to know if you’re a good player, judge your skill level and how you interact with your team members.

A good player is someone who plays with the team not a lone wolf

A good player to me should be versatile in every game mode.

I am the same. Me it’s the team work that counts.

As a predominantly warzone player myself, I don’t see ranking in Arena all that correlated to your actual skill level.

Positive kda ratio

Sorry mate, I have to disagree with you. I consider a good player, someone who plays well with others. Someone who is fun and friendly. Not someone who constantly argues, insults, and kills teammates. It’s not about the K/D ratio, but the overall attitude of a player.

I agree. I don’t care if you have two kills, three assists and twenty deaths in a WZ match. If you were giving callouts and making an effort, I’m more than happy to play with you.

Same with me!!

Good player individually, or good teammate. Two different questions. Super high K/D ratios usually signify a lack of teamwork, or exclusive focus on certain game types.

I don’t think you can limit what makes a good teammate to quantification - do you contribute to teamwork and towards the objective victory? In Slayer, sure, a positive K/D ratio can be a rule of thumb (although if you have a million assists, you’re doing something right), but objective-based game types (CTF, Stronghold, Breakout), communication, coordination are all important.

I play with guys that are a great deal better than I am, but they like me in the fireteam because I’m willing to throw myself at an objective, communicate, and do just enough to be a net positive to the team.

If you spawn power weapons and quickly die next to me then you’re a great player.
