I got that challenge using a grenade launcher

Most if not all, anything that is classified as a heavy weapon.
I got it using rockets on cage. But FYI, GL, Rocks, CR, PL all get this.

Rocket Launcher, Grenade Launcher, Plasma Launcher, Concussion Rifle, Spartan Laser, and Fuel Rod Gun (previous posters forgot about this one).
If it explodes, chances are it’s an Ordinance Weapon. Your best bet is just play Action Sack. You’ll more than likely get BoomBall, Splockets, or Dino Blasters. Those are the best gametypes for it. (And Rocket CTF, but that doesn’t come up very often.)

Thats strange that a Spartan Laser is an ordinance weapon. Because ordinance is explosive weapons that are dropped or lobbed by a vehicle (like an aircraft) or dispenser (like a mortar tube or rocket launcher tube) and (most often) with larger radius’ of damage. Normally not precision fired like a spartan laser. Ordinance weapons are like mortars, air dropped munitions like bombs, and dumb fired non guided rockets like old zuni rocket pods widely used in the vietnam era. And the spartan laser is precision delivered and it doesnt take cased or packaged “ammo”. I guess in reach a heavy weapon is considered an ordinance weapon.
