I just want to know what the average halo player is. I currently have a 1.189 kd and a 56% win rate as a solo player. I would like to know where the average kd and win percentage stand at. I consider myself pretty good at the game. But then I see all these players on YouTube like Kampy, ISpiteful, and Pingy. They’re always dominating and getting multi kills like it’s nothing. So it makes me re evaluate my skill level. And compared to them, I suck lol. So I just want to know what you guys think the average halo players’ stats are.
average would be 1.0 k/d and 50% w/l in my opinion
If you’re above .8, that’s fine IMO.

The problem is that K/D and W/L are dependent on rank. You could be 1.0 K/D with 50% W/L and be Onyx. Does that make you average? I’d say that the average player is ranked around Platinum.
The average kd has to be somewhere slightly below 1.0. Just think about it. Every time one person gets a kill, another person dies. This balances out the average every time someone gets a kill. However, since someone can die without someone getting a kill (suicide/betrayal), the overall average has to be less than one.
The average win rate by necessity has to be close to 50% (excluding FFA where only one person wins). Generally speaking, in arena 4 people win and 4 people lose. However, due to the fact that not all games finish with an equal number of players, that percentage won’t be exactly 50%.

Technically if you take Warzone into account, AI’s can kill you, but killing them doesn’t count as a kill, so slightly under 1.0 would be average.
I’m at .985 but I play as a support player, usually leading the rush and dying, but picking up a bunch of assists.
I’d say the basics. As R3d stated above, ID shoot for a minimum 1KD and 50% W/L. For CSR I would discount Champion league and go right down the middle, so high Golds and low Plats.

Don’t compare yourself to Pingy and ISpiteful in regards to Warzone. They are way above average in Warzone. I imagine they’re pretty good in arena too, but they don’t put those videos up so I don’t know. As far as Warzone goes though, they are the top players around. Most people don’t average 50 and 60 kills per round of warzone. If you look after a warzone round most “average” players are around 20 kills.
Arena is an entirely different ball game though.
id say the average players is .7-.9. Anyone who has more kills then deaths is golden in my book
I’m pretty happy with my K/D hovering around 1.2, having been ranked Diamond/Onyx level since launch…
K/D doesn’t necessarily mean anything because you are placed in tiers very quickly and are generally competing within them… I think Platinum is probably average… it’s the middle-ground rank-level.
to use KD and win % cant really prove average of not.
i mean someone that is only a bronze caliber player could have a 1 KD and 50% WL but he clearly is not an average player.
you gotta look at the ranks, so technically anywhere in platinum with a 1 kd makes you an average player

Exactly my thinking as well…

i would say average is gold but this is all opinions

That’s what I was thinking also. However, is there any way to check this?

This is very true.
I was literally just wondering this myself, I always feel like I’m doing well when I play online, then I come on here and pretty much everyone has better stats than me lol

True. Plus they also don’t run solo
most of the time. Running with a team helps a lot.

Yeah, I get ranked onyx and diamond and I really struggle to go positive in those games. However, I notice that this seems to be the case for a lot of players.
some players are naturally talented
others have worked hard to get to where they are
a casual player can have higher k/ds than pros yet perform at a lower standard than them
its about consistency
you would be surprised at a lot of pros stats and settings
just because they make money and win tournaments doesnt mean you are MLG 420 YOLO SWAGMASTERSNIPERXxX
